Well done west. Apparently now accusing somebody of "racism" without ANY proof whatsoever (guilty until proven innocent) is more serious than a murder attempt and an assault.

If you're referring to the recent death of Daunte Wright conflating an armed robbery and assault charge with murder attempt seems a bit much. The officer who shot him hasn't been charged with a hate nor crime, nor has she been assumed guilty until proven innocent.

Civil society seems to think otherwise, but it seem more of a reaction to the general situation faced by black people with regards to police violence in the U.S, than an explicit hate crime in the instance of Wrights death. And while civil society may think the officer guilty until proven innocent, they don't enforce legal penalties, the judicial system does.

Yea he was one of mine in the EU community for the longest time, then just started making regiment after regiment when I kicked him out of the 41st.

Also great throwback to when I was banned from all 63e servers simply for running an EU detachment in the same regiment as Jakester.

Libs did much better, I expected it to be within 20-30 seats but that was when the NDP was on the rise, on that subject;
lol the fucking NDP, I knew from day one when he became leader he'd never hit big. He's got the charisma that the NDP needs, but he lacks the political realism that Mulcair and Layton utilized. Getting shut out of Quebec has been and continues to be a disaster for them. Their best bet is to hold up the Liberals until killing a budget two years down if Liberal support drops enough.

I think its an overstatement to say Scheer had an easy win in the books. It was almost always a given that he was never getting a majority, the economy is doing ok and the Liberals delivered on a lot of big promises, aside from a few scandals and Trudeau's failing image the LPC actually ran a solid government. Doug Ford basically killed Conservative support in Ontario by not endorsing Scheer and running semi-social conservative policy which drove away progressives. If the tories ran a member of their progressive wing they probably would have been in government, although who knows, maybe they'll form a breakaway state from Manitoba to the Rockies? Gonna have to because they got fuck all elsewhere.

On a final note, looking better for the Greens who finally stepped out of their B.C comfort zone and won a seat in Fredericton, well done Greens! Maybe if they merge into the de facto same party that is the NDP they can actually accomplish something?

Hahahaha Liberal seat projections dropped by 20 overnight.

Meanwhile the NDP is looking like its dropping back to 4th Party status behind the bloc. Hard to think 4 years ago they were initially projected to form a government.

Ironic that the whole Liberal strategy is to attack Scheer for being a bigot while their leader has worn blackface.

It's worth noting that what Bernie Sanders is saying he will do is more akin to ideal circumstances than realistic goals. Politicians in every country generally have a door understanding of limitations (both economic, political, social and constitutional) that restrict their ideal policy implementation. The U.S system is built on checks on power and so its very difficult for any President (no matter how moderate) to accomplish their policy goals regardless for controversy.

I'd say Bernie is making big claims due to his wish to change the course of Left-Wing politics in the U.S. Realistically he can only accomplish a moderate amount of reform, but selling it on a socialist basis will allow for him to push forward these ideas with greater ease as he'll at the very least have a mandate with which to tackle these issues, if not the economic or political ability.

It's kinda like how Donald Trump said he was going to tear up NAFTA until he realized (upon entering Washington) that NAFTA plays a vital role in the U.S's trading power with Canada. Or how he thought Mexico was going to pay for the border wall due to a trade deficit (which makes zero sense for a multitude of reasons.

As for the comments with regards to the U.S military: the U.S needs to maintain its military no matter what, the U.S holds a hegemony and without the means to back it up would open up the world to another rising power (China) to start exerting hostile influences on other nations.

Liberal minority is the most likely outcome.

If Doug Ford hadn't turned the province of Ontario against him than CPC minority would be a guarantee.
Unfortunately Doug's kinda fucked up trust in the conservative movement and so the LPC is gonna win Ontario.

Most interesting part about this election is that The Greens are polling almost as high as the NDP and are going to win multiple seats, which may see them as candidates in a Confidence and Supply arrangement with the Libs. The Greens across Canada have been doing very well over the past few provincial elections (PEI/NB), interested to see how they'll continue to progress in their big boy shoes.
