It better have a Kubrick feel then.
Unfortunately, Spielberg hasn't made a good movie since Jaws (granted, I haven't seen Lincoln yet).
And don't forget last time Spielberg did a movie based on a treatment by Kubrick---we got A.I. Artificial Intelligence, which was absolutely awful.
Personally I would say that he has done quite a few good movies since Jews...

Lol, lol... Lol... And, again... Lol.
I'm actually looking forward to this. I'm interested to see how Spielberg is going to do a Napoleonic Era movie.

Get a HBO series ... done, or China Cinema ... both of these series producers just make pure perfection in looks, taste and realism. You know what would be awesome? Something like The Pacific or Band of Brothers... but in the Napoleonic Wars.
I would highly recommend checking out both of them.
Well, something like Band of Brothers would be cool, but The Pacific was awful.
Obviously its gonna be from the French perspective, maybe we'll see the 95th somewhere in the background ;D
Chinese film companies are pretty spectacular, I would recommend "Ji Jie Hao" otherwise known as "Assembly" set in the war between the republic and communist states in China ... bloody fantastic and lets you get to grips with strong characters.
Dissapointed. I was hoping for Michael Bay actually.
I doubt that they would be real though... While Kubrick was actually trying to hire several thousand or atleast hundred men to make the battle scenes, Spielberg is most likely going to hire maybe 20 men for closeups and the others are going to be computer generated...
But the Napoleonic Wars are not American enough... I wonder how he is going to add Americans to it.

There was this one american in the 7e BvL and thus at Quatre-bras/Waterloo. Though he presumably was just born there, considering he apparantly served in the portuguese army from the age of 13.
