Last event for me is the 28th of September, so I'll have a picture up of all the scars acquired then.

Apparantly there's a Living History weekend on September 27 and 28, that's 2 days after my birthday.

Should be interesting, celebrating your brithday during a reenactment weekend.

Happened to a guy in my group.

He ended up wandering into the town with a guy we had joining us from another group, they somehow found a night club in a sleepy northern market town and got let into it whilst in kit - the guy from another group had his eating knife on him as well.

Come to think of it, I was pretty much celebrating my birthday at Kelmarsh. That didn't end well.

I celebrated my birthday during 150th Gettysburg weekend. (I was born on the day when Chamberlain raped the Alabamaians)

Ickworth is always my birthday weekend... last 3 years it's actually fallen on my birthday! I love it! Spending it in a field with the best friends going is what it's all about :D

I worked a lot on my 3 band Enfield, got it completely de-rusted, redid all previous repairs on the stock properly, fixed the lock, made it look nice again..

I will get my hands on a new nipple soon..
Then Ill get the the proper caps (their at olaf)  and will do a fire test.  I checked the bore with my borelight and inside all looks well, all the light surface rust is removed and no pitting.

Here is some pics.

So I got my helmet pics uploaded on the same day a very special new toy arrived.
Helmets first, not shrunk down so you can enjoy the dints. Bear in mind this is after only two months of use.

The post delivery guy showed up today and told me that he has a big package at the delivery station. It is too big to fit into his car, so he is going to make a 2nd run on Saturday to get it to me...
I think the french guy that I bought the 2 muskets from packed them in an insanely huge package, without dissembling them.

Looking forward to that :P
