Direct3D Device
« on: December 21, 2016, 12:12:27 am »
Could not reset the Direct3D device.

The application will now exit.

I keep getting that message whenever just playing and also Alt-Tabbing. I've looked online and tried a lot of stuff but to no help.

Anything would be appreciated thanks.

If you haven't already, make sure drivers are up to date and try reinstalling warband.

Also, did you find this thread? Might be a fix: https://www.fsegames.eu/forum/index.php?topic=11683.0

There is an easy work-around for this. It is no fix, merely a rather crude workaround. In your Warband launch menu (when you launch warband, where you select your mods), go to settings and run Warband in windowed mode. When you run warband and thus NW in windowed mode, the game won't crash on alt+tab.
Probably one of the very few old-timers here who hasn't been a regimental leader.

Yeah I think that is the best solution, it still does crash sometimes when going in and out of the game, but causes the least amount of issues. Thanks.
