As the starting day approaches, we wanted to show you the first map we will be using for the event.

On the first screenshot, you can see the 2 spawns, placed around the semicircles of pine trees. We decided to not add too many details, to avoid performance issues maybe encountered by some players. Some trees have been placed in order to better visualize the bordermap.

The picture is taken from a spawn. You can see the other one from there, with the mass of trees on the horizon. We decided to add relief to the map, as a totally flat one would have been boring.



As I said before, Soartex have made multiple versions of that same map, with different sizes, as we don't clearly know yet the appropriate proportions for the maps. Despite us taking precautions, we won't be totally sure until some rounds will be played. We sincerly hope the map will be correct to play on. For the next weeks to come, new maps will be released, with different style/relief.

Tomorrow, around 14 cavalry regiments and companies, distributed in 2 teams, will be clashing for 4 rounds. The battlefield will be a total mess, and as the danger will come from everywhere, the participants will have to work together, in order to survive the battle.
We have gathered an important number of participants for tomorrow, and we thank them all for that. This high number should make the event even more interesting. We hope you will all enjoy it !

Yersterday, around 160 horsemen gathered and clashed on a 80vs80, this is a huge number ! I am happy to see everyone did enjoy the event. Special thanks adressed to Soartex, St0m and Saphyro, for managing the event, making very balanced teams. I also thank the participants for their presence, and their attitude : No incidents were reported, everyone took fun and passed good moments !

We are aware of the lags that a lot of people encountered. Although it disappeared when around 40 people died, it is still problematic. We believe it is due to the number of participants, as the server had to manage around 160 people and horses, which makes around 320 entities.
However, we have visualized a way to increase the server's performance without reducing the number of players. We are working on it, and the lags should be fixed/highly reduced for the next monday !

Yersterday, the event opposed France against Russia. The next battle will oppose different nations.

Each regiments/companies had their proper formation. And we must say, they were fairly respected ! There wasn't clear rambo cases, as some people had trouble finding their right formation (especially for the hussars). We thank the participants for their discipline

The battlefield was a true mess once everyone were engaged in the battle !


Besides the lags, we consider the first event as a success. We take real pleasure to host the event. I will thank again Lindblom, for providing us the server : Without him, nothing would have been possible. It seems all the participants will be present for next monday, I am glad to see that. Different nations, and a new map will be present for the next session. Be sure we try our best correcting the lags.

For the second event, we have a second map ! We have listened to the regiments' feedback, in order the improve the map, and make the event more interesting. We thank them for that. We kept the same size, as we think it was appropriate last time, and nobody had problem with it.
The next event will be played on a desert !

Both teams will spawn between the palm trees. We kept the map without that many details, again, in order to focus on the performances.

The relief has been increased, as many asked it. It should make the event more interesting, as from now on, the participants will not have a clear vision on the whole map. They will therefore not know what happens around them. We made sure the relief was reasonable, so that the event would still be playable.

The next battle will oppose Austria to the United Kingdom. The server has been moved to Frankfurt, we sincerly hope the lags are now fixed !
