Personally I think more in game music would be nice, the musicians are fine. You could just leave the default music tho, most people have it off anyway.

I don't know if it is at all possible but an Idea I wanted to throw in is for a few of the UK regiments the recruit is the center companies unit and the private is the grenadier company unit. Would there be any hope of seeing light company units sneaking their way into the UK and CA?

Heya, I dunno' if this would completely screw with the balance of the game, but do you have any intentions of conducting further balancing with items? For example, I would imagine that the brass helmets of the Continental Dragoons would be more effective than, say, a tarleton. Or, say the knee-high jackboots of some cavalry are more protective than ankle boots. That being said, this is really is just grasping at straws, but I was always disappointed by the underwhelming armor values in Napoleonic Wars, cuirasses providing little more protective value, and all helmets being made equal.

Nitpicking over.

Now, a question while I'm here. What exactly are the stat differences between units such as marines, light infantry, foot guard, milita, etc?

In terms of item balancing it really wouldn't make much of a difference IMO. .75 caliber musket balls are going to pretty much be a death sentence. In terms of item statistics, Lights have the highest accuracy, guards have the highest melee, and the line is a balance of both if I remember right.

It doesn't matter, cause its server handled.

You could even make new, unique unit classes, with own uniforms, which will be available for that server only. The client does not need the stuff, when the server owns it.
Its working for 2 factions per team the same way, also for lot of other fancy options (like 2 flags, musicians in commander battles)

Ranker is the regular rank-and-file line soldier and private was just a name placeholder to test the 6 unit classes possible.  Visually there is no difference as I was merely testing the unit ranks structurce for stability (no duplicate ranks appearing in odd places)

As far as I know Private is sometimes the more appropriate term for the rank-and-file soldier.

The howitzer when limbered will be fixed, that is to-do. Reason why is because the cannon and howitzer share the same limber wheels and we made a new wood mesh for the main body of the weapon.

Please keep in mind bug reports go into the associated thread next time. I did not realize as well, at first this is the development thread.

The cannon having solid black texture is an issue since Viking Conquest, that modified the game and how textures are compressed. A simple fix for now is to enable Low HDR in Options and it will be fixed.

I am sad to see that flag go, Honestly it wasn't that op, I mean all you had to do was shoot the guy, or block, or use a sword, or stab him first. I mean it is the same as a spontoon. It just looked scarier when a psychopath starts waving a giant flag around yelling freedom.

The pistols in WaT are rather tinny for the period, or at least for a standard army issue. I was wondering if in the final version of the mod, if there will be any appearance of the long pistol. I know the pistol can be seen in most revolutionary war artwork, in the patriot, and in other games based on the period (or at least near that period) such as persistant frontier. If the pistol wasn't issued to all that bare a pistol on the game it should at least be given to mel gibson or the dragoon colonels.  And maybe better the stats on the mini pistol and give it to only the Generals on both teams (not mel gibson). Making the long pistol the standard issue and the mini one specially made for the general units (mel gibson gets the long piston not the mini).

NaS has something similar, if your officer isn't a complete idiot it won't be a problem (spyglass) and they are more of an orange red than the blood red of the UK, you'll see.

I did not say they were or should be, all I was saying was that the guide the Perry's done was quite interesting and that was one of the things I found interesting. I will scan it in and PM it to you if you like?

All my work I've done on the patch is lost, I was cleaning my PC out after making a shit ton of edits for the BCoF stuff and thought my Whigs and Tories Module was just rubbish as I have another called Whigs and Tories Beta Build (thinking this was what I was building the patch in) so I removed it to save room. I started working on the mod 2 weeks ago and found out this had happened and I haven't come around to tell you but I think it's time. What was lost, textures, models, materials and Texture resource links, sounds and some code probs. Now I'm not sure where/how far the old build is compared to the one I lost so maybe if I work at it I can redo it.

- its not in my recycling bin  :-\

I didnt put any textures on dropbox but Im sure there's some models. For the files they might be corrupt if they're lost I might as well make it again  :-\

I saw two passworded ones, they had trainings on them. Beyond those, there's rarely a couple (and I mean a couple) of people on the Uk commander battle server.
