Why should you become CR?: Since being CR I'd like to think I have helped the community both in terms of events and general help as well, such as dealing with a few feuds on threads (for example the hussars threads, NWWC threads, etc). I have began hosting the tournaments I promised and listened to the community when changes have been requested (e.g. EIC board, dupe accounts and the HUN language board).

If you vote for me again I will remain the active CR that I have been and continue to try to work with you to improve the community in terms of events, arguments and suggestions.

In terms of both FSE and the EU NW Community I have been very involved for years hosting some major events ranging from the NWFL, NWWC to co-hosting the NWL. I want to try and push for a bigger focus on event sub-boards for major events such as TGL, NWFL, NWWC, etc just as Taleworlds do as events are simply the only thing that keeps the community still alive. Regiments of course play a part in this but without events regiments pointless. I am very active on the forums and although I used to have my moments of rebellion and trolling moments towards FSE I feel I have matured over these years to some extent and have always been very involved in keeping this community going even with my playtime declining (be that through my maps, events or thread templates).

The NA community has been on the decline for years, and this summer has dropped the NA community even more. With the death of the competitive scene in NA, it is crucial that we turn to, nurture, and help grow faith and trust in the casual community which has been relatively steady for the past few years. It is for this reason that I am applying for CR. The NA community needs a person they can look to and have faith in for the game, in its twilight hours. I am well suited for this position due to my experience in the casual scene, and thus I am applying for CR. Should the need arise to contact me, you can find my steam here: Steam.

Why should you become CR?: The NA Community and especially Competitive has been on a decline for a year now due to school, old players leaving ect. Also a lot of our CR reps going away and never doing anything to help the community. I am applying for the position to try to revive what is left of the competitive scene promote new regiments and more events for the competitive scene other than WPC. As well for the casual scene which I have been a event hoster in off and on for the past 4 years I will be promoting events on the weekdays Wednesdays and so on. So that its more active and people have more variety for events. I also think it's important to keep servers like bbg bot survival ect up for that community that only likes playing on pub servers.

Why should you become CR?: I am capable of administrative work and am a frequent browser of the forums, even if I'm not posting. I actually do try to put effort into the NA community and the general consensus on me is that I'm competent and mildly involved in most areas of the game, from competitive to casual to forum drama. In all things I take strong positions in, I ensure that they're done with competence using logical thinking.

As far as the competitive side of NA, the strong decline of competitive regiments does not mean that competitive play must die - quite the contrary. It is my opinion that NA should switch to teams as regiments decline, and I will encourage the creation of more team-based single events in which players can sign up.

Why should you become CR?: I have experience being a CR and know what being a CR is about. I care about the community and I've been active in the community since I've been on FSE. I believe I did a good job doing CRs with my 2 terms disregarding the 2 and a half week absence I had in my second term. Really I just want to provide feedback to the admins as well as provide unbiased moderation to make the forum a better place for the users. I really do like helping the community and its members and want to aide again in doing so.

Why should you become CR?: Throughout the years, I have helped to create and run a wide range of tournaments and events that cater to both the competitive and casual communities of NW. Now, since there about 17 different leagues going on, I have decided to continue my tagpro league so that people of lesser ability like myself have a chance to play in a competitive setting. Other tournaments like the cheat tournament have been great success in showcasing the diverse community that NW possesses. The most important reason that I should become CR is that I have years of experience corralling mentally disadvantaged individuals in both NW and PW.

Why should you become CR? :
I believe I should be the NA Community Representative because I truly want to help make everyone's experiences more fun and in general, just better. I have a decent amount of administrative experience starting back in 2013 helping admin a linebattle to present day where I am a Moderator of both NA groupfighting servers and heading NA RGL. In the past I have been Moderator of NA NWL, Referee of various leagues and tournaments, and Admin of several servers. I have been with this community since 2012(and on FSE since 2013) so I think I have a pretty good concept of how it works and how to improve it.

Listed below are a few of my goals. In addition to those goals I have created a list of interesting competitive and casual event ideas that I will release if I am elected.

My Goals:

• Create fun, experimental, and interesting events for both Competitive and Casual groups alike.
  
• Be as transparent as possible with the community.
  
• Respect community opinions and ideas.
  
• Create a schedule for CR hosted events and tournaments that span the term.
  
• Continue and revive popular events such as NANWL and the Regional Groupfighting Tournament.
  
• Have recurring discussions with regimental representatives and community memebers to hear your concerns/suggestions.
  

If elected I would like to work with the other candidates so their views, goals, and voters are represented to the fullest extent.

I asked a few Community Members if I would be a good CR and why, here are their testimonials.

Hellomoto

As one of my oldest NW friends, I have seen Pickle put on a myriad of hats. I've seen him be a ranker, NCO, CO, and most prominently, one of the head admins of the NA Groupfighting server. He has excelled at all these roles and took his responsibilities seriously, while always keeping in context that at the end of the day NW is a game we play to have fun. Pickle's most prominent quality is that he approaches each situation with a level head, and that is a valuable quality for a person in any position, to ensure a fair, just, and most importantly, a fun environment. He is also one of the gayest men to ever touch this game, which is another huge achievement I must commend him for.

First I would like to include the following: I agree for Pickle to post this on the forums. Now on to my statement: I haven't been in the NW community for a long time compared to some people, and that difference pales when compared to a person like pickle. Pickle has been a staunch, reliable, and trustworthy member of this community for years. While I canot vouch for his years prior to when I joined this game, I do know from my experience with him - as an NA GF admin, a forum member, a friend, and eventually a loyal member of the 15e that this fella would make an excellent CR. He has the connections needed for this position across the community, the reputation to back it, and the experience necessary for it. Therefore, I can endorse pickle's run for CR without a single regret, and fully hope he wins the elections.

While many community members claim to be impartial third parties, they do this because they are either A) lying or B) too inactive to matter. Pickle, however, is one of the few community members who can realistically claim to be an impartial, objective third party.  The community has already recognized this, handing Pickle important positions in leagues, tournaments, and servers. A true testament to this is that Pickle is the only person to have been a NA Groupfighting and BoB Groupfighting moderator. This type of true impartiality and competence in the CR position hasn't been seen since Mack, and right now there is no one more qualified and suited to the position than Pickle.

Why should you become CR? I am the definition of a representative. I represent more than 200 autistic constituents for 5 years. I've seen many forms of cancer in the community but it was positive enough to expand it towards BoB_Groupfighting which has a perfect balance of reforms in fairness and regulation. I am also currently trying to create new ideas and concepts to improve the NA community so that it becomes alive again with little bit of toxicity.  How this relates to my position as being is of course establishing trust FROM the people by using relevant experience.
Now is the time to disband incumbents like Windblower and since this is a short term, it's time for an autist to revive the na community.

Why should you become CR?: I have served two terms as a CR before and I believe when I did that I was succesful in being the link between the Community and the moderators, as well as inter-community problem solving, which I did a few times.
People can expect that from me again. Especially in terms of inter-community problem solving people would be able to assume complete equal treatment. I have no regimental affiliation and will thus be completely impartial to whatever argument is going on.
I will also maintain a professional level of criticism expected from a CR, which I have also done in the past, though much of it was invisible to the community, considering those dicussiosn took place in the moderator board.

Official FSE Servers / Official Server Rules

Official Server Rules

- Do not make derogatory remarks to other players or regiments on the server, or about players who may not be on the server. This includes, but is not limited to, racist, sexist, homophobic and bigoted insults, as well as personal attacks and harassment. There is a no tolerance policy for derogatory remarks like slurs on the server.  Using them in general will make you liable to be removed from the server.

- Do not intentionally wound or kill members of your own team (this includes their horses also).

- Do not harass or argue with admins. In the event that you are unhappy with an admins behaviour or ruling on a matter, please take a record and appeal to Thunderstormer, Xethos or Littleguy for NA, and Romulus or TheHighLord for EU.

- Do not impersonate any other individual or group. Doing so will be treated harshly, regardless of intention or excuse.  This includes impersonating in the chat.

- A regiment may advertise once per map, regardless of how many rounds are played on it. This applies to advertisements, both general and individual. This also includes messages for an entire group like an Army etc,.  Regular advertisement like your youtube, twitch, facebook, etc,. are included in this rule.

- Do not delay.

- Preset artillery pieces operate on the principle of ‘first come, first serve’. The player that reaches a piece first then ‘owns’ that piece for the round, but must yield to another cannoneer, if any, in the next round. If someone spawns their own artillery piece, it is theirs to control.(this may include their group)  Do not steal it.

- Any sort of behaviour that results in unwelcome responses will be dealt with i.e. trolling/annoyance.

- Intentionally toeing the line is considered trolling.

- Any action that warrants unfair game-play is not permitted such as glitching, hacking or cheating.

- Any language is permitted, spam on the other hand is not.

- Use the build points to help your team.  They are meant to assist your team in the killing of the enemy or protecting your team from the enemy.  This does not mean you are allowed to make private forts/defenses/sky towers for yourself. They are also not meant to be used get to places that players were never meant to be.  If you have to build/destroy something to get there, do not do it.

- If VOIP is on, it is to be used for communication with your unaltered voice.  Do not play music, ear blast, play random audio, or do another annoying things with it.  The rules above apply to VOIP.

- Admins have the final decision in any case.

These set of rules can be amended without prior notice, rules must be followed on all official servers and may be used for private servers.

Official Administration Applications



Applications are open!

The Battle Cry of Freedom  Admin team have their roots in the Napoleonic Wars. A team of Professional and mature Players, that strive to make sure that the official servers are well looked after.
We are looking for Mature and respected community members to help run the BCOF servers marked with Official in the server browser.  This may include events hosted on the official servers.
Admins are required to be active and have a neutral standing in all situations and look for the best outcome for the community.
A successful Applicant must follow the server rules at all times, while also adhering to the admin rules. Failing to follow either set of rules may result in dismissal and a possible ban from the server.
Your conduct on the forums and discord is taken into consideration for both approval to, and removal from the team.
Once accepted a 2 week trial period will commence where your performance will be evaluated. The trial period can be changed depending on circumstances.
Only successful applicants will be responded to by pm or steam by Thunderstormer (for NA). This only happens when there is a need or want for new admins.
Applications will be accepted on the fly and there is no set closing date for applications.
Applications are open to anyone. We will not announce when candidates are being selected for trials; they will be informed by PM only.

Official Server Bans and Unbans / Rules for this Board, Ignore at Your Own Risk

It has come to the FSE Administration attention that there are too many users posting comments on requests that have nothing to do with the request itself. We would like to tell you that unless you have something relevant to add to the respective request, do not post in order to avoid unnecessary discussions.

Post only if:

- You are a witness and want to support the other user's request;
- You are the player who got banned/want to be unbanned;

Please do note that BCoF Administrators are always allowed to post regardless of their involvement.

Breaking these rules may result in punishment.

Official Server Bans and Unbans / Format for Ban and Unban Requests. READ before you post.

As you can imagine, we get a lot of requests to have people banned or unbanned, in order for these to be dealt with quickly, it is critical that they are written up in a manner that allows us to sort through them quickly and concisely. This is the format that you should be following:



Unban request

In the event you are banned from our servers(NW_Official_NA1 and/or NW_Official_EU1) for a period longer than 1 hour (which is the length of a temporary ban) you can make a thread(new topic) on this forum requesting the ban is lifted. You will need the following details:

• Name under which you were banned - INCLUDE IN TOPIC TITLE
• Which official server(s) are you banned from?(NW_Official_NA1 and/or NW_Official_EU1):
• What was happening when you got banned:
• Did you break any other rules prior to your ban? (this may include any prior bans, or any other rules you were or were not punished for):
• Time and date when the account was banned:
• Timezone:
• User Identification Number* (This is a number server admins can find in their logs THIS IS NOT YOUR CD KEY, DONT POST YOUR CD KEY!) :
• Why should you be unbanned?:

When you have posted these details in your thread, leave it alone for a while and hopefully within a day or two our staff will have gotten around to dealing with it. You may be asked to provide more information on what you were doing, an admin may be called in to explain in greater detail why they banned you and you may be unbanned immediately or after a punishment duration decided upon by the staff.

Make sure that in your thread you remain courteous, avoid getting into fights with other posters and try to keep a level head so we can deal with the situation as quickly and efficiently as possible. If you are not the person making the appeal, an admin, a witness or myself, then don't post in the thread, it reflects badly on whoever is interrupting and only makes the senior admins job more difficult.

And above all, make sure you are not spamming the threads or the forum in order to have your own case looked at more promptly. We try to deal with all cases within 2-3 days, occasionally one falls through the gaps and a bump is warranted. However, creating more threads or bumping when not needed is something which can lead to a ban being lengthened, so don't be tempted.(This includes PM)

In the very rare chance you are banned from the FSE teamspeak, you can make an unban request here.  Just put in FSE teamspeak where it asks what server you are banned from. 

Ban request

If you see someone misbehaving seriously and not being dealt with by an admin, you can post on this forum to request that they be log banned, which involves banning someone even if they are no longer on the server. Make sure to include:

• Name of the server you were on(NW_Official_NA1 or NW_Official_EU1):
• Name of the person causing trouble:
• Nature of their offense:
• Time and date of their offense:
• If needed, what your relationship was to the offense in question.:
• Any proof if you have it, For instance screenshots. (use spoilers!):

As with unbans we try to deal with these with 1-2 days but a certain delay can be expected. Typically speaking, only the more serious offenses will warrant a log ban, and whilst we have sympathy for anyone who is team-killed by someone who does a runner, its not particularly wise for us to consider log banning someone for such an offense. Racial or homophobic slurs, streaks of team-killing and team wounding, cheating or glitching, abuse of map mechanics and other more problematic offenses are the kind of thing that will receive a log ban. If you want to appeal a log ban, make your unban request as above and post a link to the original ban request.

Servers

Please note that whilst much of the community congregates on this site, we can only guarantee that requests from the official servers(NW_Official_NA1 or NW_Official_EU1) will be tended to. In the event of a request for another server or server group, we will try and make sure the relevant administration knows, but you will be better off attempting to contact them directly. Find their thread and do as they say to be unbanned, if they allow unbans. 

Complaints

Naturally the administration of any server is bound to have problems and upsets, in which case you are free to contact any of the EU Senior admins: MrTiki, Cenzii;  NA Senior admins: Thunderstormer, LittleGuy directly via private message. The usual procedure for PM's remains; stay courteous and level headed, explain clearly what lead you to complain and include relevant times and dates. Bring any relevant evidence along when filing your complaint.  If you have any complaints about a Senior Administrator; contact Vincenzo. 


New User Corollary

When a person is banned, for whatever reason, I regard their persona as banned and do not expect to see them frequenting our servers or teamspeak any longer. However, as Napoleonic Wars is quite a fun game, I abide by a simple maxim when it comes to buying a new copy of it. That is, if you buy a new copy of the game, with a new name, no ties to your previous persona, you will not be pursued for any actions you committed previously - only the most egregious violations being exempt from this. In short, if you get permanently banned, buy a new CD-Key, get a new name and don't dwell on what you did previously.

Appeal Location
Note that we can only guarantee that appeals pertaining to the official server(NW_Official_NA1 or NW_Official_EU1), made on this forum section will be answered. Threads on other forums as well as private messages and appeals, will not be handled, but will instead be ignored. Appeals for unbans on other servers are to be posted in their thread unless stated otherwise. Look in their thread located in the server board to learn what you need to do to be unbanned if they do allow unbans.

I've currently served as a CR for the past term and I have been providing unbiased moderation and serving as an ambassador for the community pretty much. My only intention as a CR is to benefit the community and make a positive impact while completing the necessary tasks of a CR. I've been active in the community for a long ass time now and I have a load of experience in hosting events, admining, interacting with the community and etc. Unfortunately my computer broke a couple weeks ago so I didn't get to host another event I had planned. I think I've gained most of your trusts by now and I respect you all to make the best decision in this err election.

Why should you become CR? : At late the community has flourished since the new update with multiple 200+ events during the week and NANWL bringing the competitive scene back to life. I believe I could unite the NW NA community for the better. For the moment some competitive regiments hate on each other or get too personal with insults these things need to be addressed immediately and stoped in the community the personal attacks have gotten out of hand as of late and need to stop, not only to help the longevity of the game but to keep toxicity out of the community.. I feel this is one issue no other CR has or attempted to tackle and so I would like to do it. I would also be unbiased, Sure regiments like the Nr.4 might have bullied me or roasted me in the past but they should have fair representation and voice as any regiment for why they choose to do what they do.  In conclusion I would make a good CR because I would point out the current big issues in the NA community and fairly and unbiasedly represent the NA community to the best of my ability.

Why should you become CR? : Well, I've had a good relationship with every single regiment I've had contact with. I love to work with and help others. I've worked with the 63e, obviously the BBG regiments like USMC/15e, 29th, and a few brazilian regiments. I can list a few more regiments and people that I have good relationships with like the 54th, HRE brigade, Warlance Game Servers, Quantum Impulse Gaming, Papabean, 6teSLR w/ Maniac, 61e, 1stLC, KOB, 41st, Kanade Tachibana, Nicholas_Prime, AppleOrgasm, Thunderstormer, Vincenzo, and few more. I even love the RegLatino, even though when I merc with them I have a hard time understanding the commands in Spanish. Also I have unbanned a gay Asian man named oOo_Hmong_oOo from my teamspeak 19 times.

I've had such good trusting relationships with others that I manage over 12 NW servers, including having control panel access to at least 5-6 other regiments/brigades NW game servers for events, regiments, and public play. I even have control panel access to even regiments that are at odds with each other at times, which shows that I can be trusted to multiple parties at the same time.

I am constantly trying to change and improve public game servers to keep the game fun and lively, though it is very old now, so I care about the regiments, but also the average public player. I have good relationships with public players on my servers and I believe it shows in the results of servers staying alive and populated, which now is pretty difficult NA side.

As a weakness, I probably have little patience for people who troll and get personal. So, if I feel someone is way out of line, I may have a hard time seeing what their real issue or concern is and just want to deal strongly with the troll actions. My other issue is, to be honest, I don't read every reply in the regiments section, so I don't know if I could "patrol" the regiments section of the board that thoroughly. But if people brought something to my attention, I wouldn't mind helping out and bringing a calm, mature, 2nd opinion to a matter.

So, I'm not entirely sure what or how a CR can help by just moderating forum posts, but I believe I can bring a lot of clout and have the ability to actually bring change to public and regimental issues.

But all in all, I just love the game and want to help it out in whatever way I  can.

Why should you become CR?: Well, there are a number of reasons on why I want to become a Community Representative.
My first point, which is also my biggest point is to ensure that the members of the forum are getting what they want, and that their suggestions and concerns are being acknowledged and are being dealt with, I feel like this is something which really does need some attention, because on multiple occasions I have had various conversations with members from the community regarding great suggestions that they had and how they were not being heard, I want to be the voice for the people I want their messages to be heard by the staff team of this forum.
(2nd point) I also wish to try and talk and discuss with putting some things into place, to try and get a new income of people from different player bases / game bases, and also trying to reduce the ammount of toxicity on the forum, as in general the community is great but individuals / groups of people are creating scenes and drama which shouldn't tear the community apart which is something I think should be looked into and regarded, which is something I promise to do.
My third reason for me wanting to become a Community Representative is that I have been playing the game for 5 years, I have been on fse lurking for around 3 years (I had an account beforehand but lost the details) in my time of being here, I have met some wonderful people who have made my experience of this game amazing, some other people who haven't had the best experiences with me, but I say let bygones be bygones I wish to become more engaged with this community and I wish to be a person where people can come to me, to get their opinions expressed and have a very high chance of a definite answer back because I feel that the members of the forum should be heard, and that both sides of the forum staff and members should be more engaged into one another.
My fourth and last point, for me wanting to become CR is to again as said above tackle problems on the forums, such as the dying and or dead sub-boards, that either need reviving or revamping in order to gain the community's attention again.

Why should you become CR?: In terms of both FSE and the EU NW Community I have been very involved for years hosting some major events ranging from the NWFL, NWWC to co-hosting the NWL. I want to try and push for a bigger focus on event sub-boards for major events such as TGL, NWFL, NWWC, etc just as Taleworlds do as events are simply the only thing that keeps the community still alive. Regiments of course play a part in this but without events regiments pointless. I am very active on the forums and although I used to have my moments of rebellion and trolling moments towards FSE I feel I have matured over these years to some extent and have always been very involved in keeping this community going even with my playtime declining (be that through my maps, events or thread templates).

Well, I've been in the community for around 5 years, I've played in most clans both in the spanish and english communities, I'm always around in the EU community nearly everyday and I dedicate it all the time I want and all the time I feel it needs. I'm curently hosting an event (VGC event) with my spanish regiment with the purpose of reviving the Full events on Saturday and Sunday, events we didn't have back in our early days. For this reason I believe by now I know 3/4 of the EU community, and they all know I'm always trying to help all members or regiments need. And you know, no spanish has ever tried to become a CR, it's always a nice record to break and for me be somewhat special.

I want to work and make a better community. A community similar to the one I had the high honor and pleasure to experience back in 2013, I may be truly late to work for this purpose, at this point in time and specially when it comes to entering the FSE world but I've always been in the game playing and meeting new people even to this day. So consider your vote and give this "guanche" a a chance to try improve the NW scene!

This NA community is no doubt in rough shape, hopefully if I get elected I can start to spark the competitive community back up again after its lull in the months of Sep-Nov. The competitive community is something that has to be salvaged as well in order to keep the NA FSE users alive.

Servers / The test server for the latest server side patch.

There will be a test server up for people to try out the new changes.    I will put a list of things to be test with possible known bugs.

There are some things i can't test myself.  So i will need your help. If you test something out and it works, let me know in this thread.  I don't want to assume something works and leave it in, just to find out it was broken. i will eventually  release the files before the patch is final so people can test them on their servers, should they want to.   A few people and 1 server wont be enough to test everything.   especially on the variety of servers and game modes this game has. 

The server is called Ze_Test_patch   PW is A   it is under tdm currently  you can make it so servers start from z rather than a, making it easier to find.    Let me know if there are any server settings you would like changed to make it better for testing.
 
the ban list will not be carried over from NA1.   

I don't feel like writing up a bunch of rules, so i will just make a simple one.   avoid being assholes to other people.  if you want to use someone to test something, ask.  should the server crash, send me a PM rather than post here, so i can notice it sooner.

bugs and suggestions

Infinitely digging an earth wall.  --  shouldn't be able to build dirt into the sky anymore.   

french light officer should now be an officer. the flag bearer should now only be the flag bearer, rather than both..   -  should receive an accuracy buff now?  cant test this myself.  do you still get the buff, even if it doesn't show on the top right?  is it client side?

Double flag server crash   -  from what i seen, it doesn't crash the server.  feel free to test,

spyglass animation without a spyglass  -  cant test this as i dont have the stuff to do this.

Stacking planks into the sky. -- should be able to build on stuff, just no plank towers like you use to.  from what i seen so far, it works.

the no banner issue.    i don't know how to make it so i don't have a banner, if you know how, send me a pm.   everyone should have a banner now, if this worked.  this may not be fixable server side.(so would require a  client side fix)

healing a player should heal their horse.

you should see a message when you join the server.

officers should yell less frequently.  -- at least 5 seconds between yells if memory serves

infinite arty ammo fixed

Should be a limit to how quickly people can spam props.  you can till put them down quickly, but not 100 in a second.

equipment should be server side now, so no more having people spawn with the same items as partisani.(well, unless they are really lucky).  This should also fix the issue of naked sappers, and other stuff.

some work has been done to cani.   It now shoots out of the howi the same way its explosive does with regards to its angle.  while it may be tweaked some more, its on the server for testing. the cannons cani should shoot a little higher as well.

Lots of minor changes in the code regarding valid props.   which means testing that cannons limber, unlimber, and still work.  boats will need to be tested as well.

Non arty should no longer be able to unlimber arty from horses.

pirate arty can now ride arty horses, but requires a client side change.

cannons should reset properly now between rounds.

music now ends when the map changes.(including pianos)

sp crate should be fixed, but ill test that later.

swievel cannons now stay in the same spot between rounds

dummies now reset their position

intentionally removed the loop regarding sapper stuff and cannons.  the sapper stuff should take 1 cannon ball and stop said ball.

when boats reset on the map from either the map being reset, round ending, or when they reset on their own mid round, they should regain their full HP again.   this should mean boats like the schooner are no longer one shot able later in the round.

frigate colmesh changed so you dont get stuck as much and can use stairs.

a wall that had a broken colmesh should no longer be selected when its previous version is damaged.  another wall will be used instead.

i changed a lot of the trees and their meshes.  from what i seen so far, they work.  hopefully it wont lead to too many issues in terms of clients and server disagreeing when walking next to a tree.

units should spawn with the appropriate musicians and flags, if applicable.(some units do not have musicians or flags)

class limits should work, meaning no more having everyone be cav.  pirates and sailors are limited by the sapper %

musicians should play music.  normally this will be something like 55 seconds long, but for now, this will be 15 seconds.   musicians should NOT be playing the assemble the men, or other "commands".  some factions only have 2 songs on things like horns, and drums for highlanders.  others have 3 for their horns and 5 songs for their flute and drums.  the flute and drums should be playing the same song together.   units with horns only have that unit, so they have no one to play together with.   i am letting the piper play any of its 11 songs. 
BALANCE

captains of the marines had less health,  -- should be the same as everyone else now

dragoons are now faster on foot

Sailor armor decrease to regular infantry levels.

prussian HC now have their missing armor. 

british bayos are the same length as the rest see below

french light cav swords are now the same as other light cav swords.

birch log now crushes through up blocks more often. 

standardize the length of HC swords so they are the same.

prussian hats now have the same armor as others, rather than double.

HC horses have 10 more hit points than before.


pistols have been changed again.  their speed was changed back but the damage is still lower.  will need to be tested

prussian cuir should now have the same 1 hand prof as other have cav, now that they have the same armor.

Heavy cav horses now have 2 more maneuverability and med horses +1.  light cav horses have stayed the same.

update to how cani works on the howi.  it shoots based on the angle of the barrel, like the explosive shot.(so aim the barrel straight, but not too low or high to hit^^

cannon cani shoots higher.

bayonet range changed to 136 for all bayonets.

colmesh for troops changed.  see the post on page 2

known issues.

i am currently working on the infinite arty ammo.   so you may see some changes.  its not finished. 

earthworks, if blown up, may be set to a certain health that allows them, when fully built up again to its max health, above the height it was before.   but you will not be able to get it to go higher than that by digging and undigging.  using explosives or cannons to achieve a possibly higher height is time consuming, and a waste of BP, so this isn't an issue really.  and an admin in a server or event would see this, as it would be really obvious. 

there has been an issue in the past where if you aim too low, or too close to an object(and maybe ground), the cani wont actually spawn.   I am trying to minimize when that happens, but its still a WIP.    ideally, on your average random map, this wont be an issue.   I am hoping it is something that is fixable, but it may be some engine issue.

known issue with rockets.  rockets wont show on the tripod, but they still work. should be fixed

a known issue is that once the boat resets mid round, it wont die from cannon fire until after someone has taken control of the ship.   this is a minor issue. the only time boat HP should matter is when the boats are being used for attacking a fort and things like that.(grenades can still sink them from what i seen)

one minor bug is that the music doesnt end if you change to a different game mode but the same map.  it keeps playing from the same space where the musician was.   this is minor.  i haven't had much luck fixing it, and as this is such a minor issue that wont come up normally during play, i will ignore it for now.    the fix for when you play music and the map changes is still in.

Modifications / Help wanted for upcomming Napoleonic Wars patch

Currently we are making good progress, but there are still many things to fix, and while i am ok at scripting, some things are more than likely out of my league currently or will just take a while to do.

So, we are looking for people to assist.   The more people helping fix these issues, the faster we can get the patch out.  If you want to help, or know of someone who can or may want to help, let me  know.  I will probably be going through the mod boards later PMing people to see if they want to help.

our goal to fix bugs, exploits, balance, and adding other nice suggestions while maintaining compatibility with the currently client. We want it so new clients can still be compatible with old servers and new servers compatible with old clients.   We would put the new files up for everyone to dl should they want to for updating their server.    that way we dont break everyone's mods they spent years working on.   the source code would be available so they would be able to  bring our changes over to their files, or their stuff to our code.  i will make a more detailed post about how to do that down the road.
