I predict line battles starting on L'Aigle almost immediately upon release. We should switch ours experimentally to L'Aigle for a week at least, let's see when it becomes practical. My guess is a few weeks in, when most people have given it a try and we've had an internal Saturday event on it.

It's already playable on the server as Avignon (Cloudy). I requested that this map be more open and flat to enable better training for all groups, and here we are. Gummi is a magician with the mapping tools.

Honestly, he's very good at it, but compared to the tactical balance of the map we fought on last time, Gummi doesn't even have to try hard to do better than that :)
On the other hand, they promised to revise that objective-based map, so who knows, maybe it'll improve.

There are actually some good points worth addressing in this post. It would be cool to see some much needed popularity injected into this community. If the developers showed some initiative towards things like this then I could easily see it peeking the interest of others who have not heard of the game before.

Its fun to read the FSE forum, just searching for 32nd and there are so many people that hate on us with these "facts" and "the way 32nd does things" and they have never been a part of our regiment. ::)
I'm not going to mention the regiment name :-X but some guy said they where more disciplined than us. I'm like okay, lets look at their youtube videos. Only 1v1 videos with massive single lines and "formations" (as they would called it) where people just bunch up fire their musket and melee till everyone is dead. They where quiet in their TS but thats not the hard part. ;D

The Union Army staff have called for proposals, so Swift, Painmace and others - if you have any ideas, please share how it can be made more enjoyable for us short of rolling back to the old once.

Since 32nd is already a NW clan i'd rather have a NS event that is "North and South" and not "North and South: If Napoleon went to America".

I think it's interesting that the British Infantry are famed for their firepower during the Napoleonic wars when their favoured tactic was to fire only once or twice then charge. They could outshoot the French but they took much greater casualties fighting like that. It also makes us that much more accurate given that's what we normally do.

Saw a short "documentary" about, basically and in a very straight explanation,people killing each other in war. And that the musket is actually much more accurate than how its been portrait in battle. Main reason behind it that they didn't want to kill each other. Logical and normal human being wouldnt shot some random guy just cause.
