I just realized the head dev was the guy who wrote Mafia 1 and 2, and is writing the game for the RPG. Jesus this makes me even more excited for it. Mafia 1 still is perhaps one of my favorite games of all time.

so does anyone know if the game will be historically accurate? not just the weapons, but the maps, the environment and the factions etc?

I was under the impression that the world would be a fictitious one unique to the game, but l don't know where I got that from.

It's based on the Bohemian Kingdom in 1403. They took actual villages and castles, but they mashed them together in a smaller and fictional map. But IIRC there should be some historical figures appearing.

This game just looks even better as time goes on and we learn more. I really hope it doesn't fall flat on it's delivery but from what I've seen it probably won't.
