Servers / Iron Europe Official US
« on: February 15, 2014, 02:06:17 am »
Welcome to the thread for the Iron Europe official US servers.

Rules
- Do not make derogatory remarks to other players or regiments on the server, or about players who may not be on the server. This includes, but is not limited to, racist, sexist, homophobic and bigoted insults, as well as personal attacks and harassment.

- Do not intentionally wound or kill members of your own team (this includes their horses also).

- Do not harass or argue with admins. In the event that you are unhappy with an admins behaviour or ruling on a matter, please take a record and appeal to Gunny.

- Do not impersonate any other individual or group. Doing so will be treated harshly, regardless of intention or excuse.

- A regiment may advertise once per map, regardless of how many rounds are played on it. This applies to advertisements, both general and individual.

- Do not delay.

- Do not troll with engineer works.

- Artillery pieces operate on the principle of ‘first come, first serve’. The player that reaches a piece first then ‘owns’ that piece for the round, but must yield to another cannoneer, if any, in the next round.

- Any sort of behavior that results in unwelcome responses will be dealt with i.e. trolling/annoyance.

- Any action that warrants unfair game-play is not permitted such as glitching, hacking or cheating.

- Any European language is permitted, spam on the other hand is not.

- Admins have the final decision in any case.

- It is your responsibility to know the server rules and abide by them.

- Belonging to a specific group responsible of breaking rules, can possibly make anyone within that group to become liable.

Lovingly ripped from the official FSE server rules.

Events / Iron Europe NA Public Hardcore Conquest
« on: February 13, 2014, 12:32:44 am »

What is Hardcore Conquest? We have created a set of rules that confine the participating regiments within defined formations and compositions. By structuring the makeup and performance of the regiments involved, we have attempted to create a more challenging event, where teamwork and training are as valuable as skill and experience. Sternly enforcing the event rules, we hope that players will be rewarded more when they achieve victory, instead of stretching the rules in order to win.

Mondays at 8:00pm EST

TeamSpeak: ts3.1stepi.com

Admins: Gunny, 5arge, JD, Cthulhu, Heinrich, and Sivart.

Assistant Admins:
To Be Determined

This weekly conquest event is open to Iron Europe regiments by invitation onlyRegiments who would like to request an invitation may do so by following the Guest List Application instructions below. This is to ensure a high quality of participation. Regiment leaders will receive the server name and password via TeamSpeak in the Line Battle Administration channel. Special Roles (Assault, Sniper, Light Machine Gun, Engineer, Heavy Machine Gun, and Artillery) will be assigned in TeamSpeak prior to the event. We will be playing best of three conquest maps.
The event will be hosted on the Official North American IE server, therefore for the event the server will be passworded, and all public players who wish to participate will be required to join the teamspeak, much like the MM events hosted by MG from which this linebattle owes its heritage.

Please familiarize yourself with the event rules. Violators may be slain, kicked, or banned with no warning.
EVENT GUIDELINES AND EXPECTATIONS
General Expectations:

-Regimental Officers and NCOs are responsible for enforcing the event rules within their ranks. Failure to do so will result in the entire regiment being punished.

-All regiments must agree that they understand and intend to follow the event rules before they are allowed to attend.

-Violation of any written event rule may result in an automatic slay, kick, or ban. This is your warning.

-Team Killing will not be tolerated at any time during the event, for any reason. Accidental TKs may be punished per admin discretion.

Guidelines for Infantry:

-Troops may only leave their trenches (or the immediate area around a flag spawn) in squads of 3 or more. They may not be spread out more than 5 paces apart at any time. Certain units may ignore this rule.

-If a squad suffers casualties and has less than 3 troops or if one of the squad are separated by more than 5 paces, they must either Retreat or Dig In.
-While Retreating all squad members must move directly towards a friendly unit and may use cover and defend themselves but may not reload their weapons.
-While Dug In all surviving troops of a squad may find cover and fight the enemy until reinforcements arrive, but may not advance or stray from their position unless in Retreat.

-All players must choose the regular Rifleman class (Escouade de Fusiliers or Schutzentrupp) unless defined by the rules below.

-No player may pickup a Light Machine Gun or Sniper Rifle unless they spawned with it according to the rules.

-Each regiment may choose one person to play as the Infantry Officer class. Officers ignore rules for squad size and spacing.

-For every 5 troops in a regiment (rounded down), an Officer may assign 1 Special Class. The Special Classes are:
-Officer (may ignore rules for squad size and spacing)
               -Rifleman Support
               -Grenadier
-Engineer (may ignore rules for squad size and spacing)
-Medical Corps (may ignore rules for squad size and spacing)
               -Sentry (Germans only)

-If troops enter a building they may ignore the rules for spacing.

Guidelines for Special Roles

-Special Roles will be assigned to regiments of adequate size and ability. They must follow rules for Infantry unless otherwise noted below.

-Assault Squads may choose 10 Special Classes regardless of their numbers (one per faction).

-Snipers may ignore rules for squad size and spacing and act independently (one per faction).

-Light Machine Gun teams may spawn 1 Gunner and 1 Ammo Carrier (one team per 30 opposing players).

-Heavy Machine Gun teams may spawn 1 Gunner and 1 Ammo Carrier, and may ignore rules for squad size and spacing (one team per 50 opposing players).

-Engineer teams may have an Officer and 4 Engineers (one per faction).

-Artillery teams may have up to 6 players spawn as any Artillery class (one team per faction).

-Any player in command of 40 or more other players via TeamSpeak, may play as the Infantry Officer or General class and ignore rules for squad size and spacing.

THE PUBLIC REGIMENT
The Public Regiment is a tradition dating back to the first NA Friday Night Line Battle hosted on February 4th, 2011. In order to fill the server, because there were not many NA based regiments at that time, we allowed all public players to attend. Instead of setting them free upon the battlefield however, we subjected them to a half hour of regimental line drill training courtesy of the 1stEPI's training manual (which was based off of Hardee's manual). Ever since, we have fielded a group of public players formed up as a regiment of their own.

To qualify as a public player, you must not be in a regiment, so players wearing tags may be denied entry into the event.

Public players who have been to many battles and have shown proficiency following and giving orders have been assigned as trustworthy pubOfficers to the Public Regiment. When an admin is not available to train and lead the pubs into battle, the responsibility passes to one of the pubOfficers.

The current roster of honored and respected pubOfficers is as follows: Gooner, Commissar_Thurne, Altus, J D, Almus, Trapper_Hat, Anbu_Leo, and SilentMatthew.
