Another thing, I wonder how many times this has happened. I can't imagine the intense pain of something like this, and i did my best to capture the emotion in the face. (Mind you, faces are not my thing...)
What I went for is just the soldier himself. This is extremely different than what I was going for. Originally, I wanted to have this man laying on the ground with one of his comrades trying to help him. When I realized it would be far too complicated for me to draw (I went through various sheets of paper in my pad), I switched to a slightly more simple picture. This one is the corporal in shock and pain. He dropped his musket, it's not floating... just so that's out of the way. I do hope you guys like it. This was for Jacob, since he requested the picture.

I'm not being a "jerk," in anyway, shape, or form. So, don't come at me with that bullshit. I criticized the drawing he made. That's it. Yes, I said the teeth look fucked up, because they do. The little pointy jagged edge at the side of his mouth, led me to believe he's a vampire, along with his extremely red eyes. However, that may just be that anime style of drawing.
I took TORN's comment to me as an insult, because of previous problems on another thread, run by James Grant. These two, consistently said stupid things to me, and accused me of trolling. What TORN said, I read as a form of his stupid remarks and trolling towards me. I reported James Grant, and if TORN continues, I'll report him too.

Something I cranked out in about an hour just now. It's a character from a fictional story I wrote involving Napoleon winning Waterloo, thus dragging on the Napoleonic Wars for many more years, etc. etc. This character is a Belgian militia officer who lost his arm to a cannonball but stayed in the military to keep on fighting, blah, blah another story for another thread. It's not finished and the camera angle makes the arm look slightly oversized but here you go.

I do not believe this story.
It struck me as odd when CryPtex posted three separate works of art with three varying styles.
I asked CryPtex why he didn't sign his artwork a few weeks back when he began to post 'his' creations to see if he would respond:
He never responded.
I wasn't going to push it because, hey, lets be honest here. There's only like 20 people that read this post on a regular basis. I'm not going to call someone on the carpet if I don't have some sort of proof.
But now I believe CryPteX is lying to us again. And I use the word 'again' because I don't think he is telling us the truth on many levels.
And here's why. :

I was half year ago to my family I came back my brother gots me banned from 5 servers. Now a few weeks ago he wants to try the same as getting me banned on FSE. I changed my password now so he can't troll FSE again. He posted photo's from others amazing work to let you that im a big artist and so getting me in problems and there for I want to thank the Nutty Pig because he did the right thing.

Now this response it pretty proper in terms of punctuation and whatnot. At two points he does not use a period to end his sentences.
"Big Brother" today
It was almost a week i was gone to my family I really really promise i didnt do this and i know its hard to believe me but again i didnt do this.
Here, after the apology, is another sloppily typed reply featuring his uncapitalization of the word "i" and absolute refusal to use a comma.
What this proves, and a simple glance at his past posts over the year will show, is that CryPtex for some reason doesn't like to capitalize his "i"s at random intervals. He doesn't use proper punctuation with "don't" and "can't". This shows the supposed Little Brother and the Big Brother both have identical posting styles.
Now onto another point of contention. I did a little digging into CryPtex's past, and came up with this post 4 months ago:

It's one thing to have missing punctuation and gramatical errors. It's another thing entirely to misspell a work like 'stuf' 3 months apart from each other.
It establishes, in my opinion, that "Little Brother" and "Big Brother" are, in fact, (drum roll) THE SAME PERSON.
The purposeful misspelling of the word "stuf" combined with the pattern of random refusal to capitalize the letter "i" and poor punctuation all stack up to provide a strong case against CryPtex's claim that his "Little Brother" is a diabolical mastermind bent on framing the "Big Brother" for plagiarism.
Which brings me to my next and final conclusion.

This is, in fact, THE "Real Big Brother". As you can see, "Real Big Brother" has been gone since August. This post is well written (well, well written in 'internet standards') with no uncapitalized "i"s, proper punctuation. It's easy to read, more than one sentence long, and not chock-full of grammatical tragedies
This is because I believe that this is the way the ACTUAL "REAL BIG BROTHER" types.
I believe that CryPtex is indeed the "Little Brother" and has been all along. Digging into his post history, it has become apparent to me that, if anything, the ACTUAL "Real Big Brother" is the one who has periodically dropped in and posted on "Little Brother"s account.
So, in summary: I believe that CryPtex is lying.
And he might have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for the uncanny detective skills of.....

I wanted to ask him the same thing, ha-ha.
What really interests me is that Duuring noticed the left-handiness and not that the saber the said hand holds is wrong, which was a fault on my saide: was too lazy to check hilt design to make it right after many hours of non-stop drawing.
Since then I have updated the saber, along with some other things, most notably the leg, which kept bugging me from the start.

While this is here, I'll just say, I hate people who try to find deeper meaning in abstract art. I think people like Kasimir Malevich, Alexander Calder, Vassily Kandinsky and Jackson Pollock are some of the worst offenders though. A few random shapes, a few strokes of paint, and then they're rolling in the dough. People pay for the artist's name when they buy their paintings. Not understanding something doesn't mean there's something to understand.

He then cleans it off and straps it onto his own face, being that he has a severely weak chin and is very self conscious about it.

Currently working on this one -basically still a sketch right now. :) Does anyone know some tips how to draw the creases at the arm (as it is bent) properly?

Looks good Ted. You're on the right track.
My best advice to give you would be to put on a similar jacket or overcoat and look at it in the mirror, or find a similar pose online.
I always draw a quick 'skeleton' before drawing the final picture...it helps me with getting the dimensions right. Tons of videos on Youtube for this.
Also, I highly recommend the Taleworlds art thread. You'll be able to get some suggestions and critiques from many varied artists and creators.

I highly recommend you get into the basics first.

Once you know what the skeleton looks like underneath all that skin and muscle, it really makes it easier to make your drawings 'come to life'

Ha that's actually pretty good.
But don't ever look at someone elses art and give up in frustration. I went to school with some of the most amazing artists I'd ever seen, and that feeling of "I'll never be that good" was overwhelming! But you gotta keep plugging away. Now they don't even draw anymore, and I'm making millions! (Just kidding, artists are always poor, but I'm still drawin baby!!!)
