Cavalry 'Pickup Parties'

Originated from Native, Pickup Parties are spontaneous fun cavalry matches with the main idea of bringing people together to have a little talk while enjoyin' fun 1v1‘s.
That‘s been working pretty well in Native throughout the time, so why can‘t we make our own ones either?

Originally brought over to the Cavalry Community by Dokletian it started off fun, and we intend to continue this by atleast trying to do one Pickup Party every month!
The Cavalry Pickup Party's wont have a leaderboard as it is intended for us all to simply share our love for Cavalry and be able to play together in teams that we usually wouldn't be able to.
It is a way to bring the Cavalry Community a bit closer.

The Steam Group

The General Rules

1. Keep it Respectful and Friendly, trashtalking should be kept to a minimum. The Priority is to have fun.
2. Keep the Teamspeak sound level moderate, no screaming/yelling

Match Specific Rules

1. Melee Speed will be on Medium
2. Always Listen to your Captain.
3. Matches are played First to 8 [Ft8]
4. Matches are played on a Random Desert

Class Specific Rules

1. Shooting is forbidden, even for officers.

The process of a 'Pickup Party'

1. A steam announcement is made to gather people. Join our TS from this moment on. You can of course ask some friends to take part as well.
2. Around 15 mins later, two volunteer captains are picked and they fight one duel to choose who‘s first at picking the remaining players.
3. Picking goes on until everyone is assigned to a team. After this the first round begins. From this moment onwards we will no longer allow people to join.
4. Both Teams fight the match untill there is one winner.

Cavalry Pickup Parties - April Battle
The first "New" Cavalry Pickup Match has concluded.

It started with Captain StephanGH's team vs Captain Burger's team. The entire match was quite a close one. It started off on a strong foot for team StephanGH who quickly went up 2-0 due to a clutch mainly by the hands of Dokletian. However it then quickly became 2-1 after which Team Burger was also able to tie it up. The two teams then exchanged rounds before team StephanGH was able to win all remaining rounds for the victory. All rounds however were certainly close and the scoreline does not do Team Burger just.

This started all the way back in November by Dokletian. However he simply could no longer keep it going so after months of inactivity I decided to restart it.

Cavalry Pickup Parties - May Battle

A great attendance, both teams were 11 each! We had some real heavy hitters in both teams. It once again started as a very close match, which soon ended from the 3-3 point onward, eventually it got to a 7-5 when team StephanGH was able to pick up their winning round and finish it off.
