Excuse the sloppiness of this thread, I am actually making it on a horrible touchscreen.

I have been dabbling in painting for a little while now. I can crank out detailed pieces relatively quickly, but I often find myself lacking ideas of what I should paint next. Therefore, I came up with a system. Every page (15 posts, not including the first two), I will make a poll of the applications for everyone to vote on what they would most like to see. I will also from time to time accept applications that I really enjoy.

 Restrictions:
 - No space age (ie. helmets, space armor, Warhammer 40k type stuff). Sorry guys, that's not my forte.
 - There is not a restriction against fictional regiments. Read below on what it takes to have your very own regiment painted by me.
 - I will not be accepting payment for these payments, they are purely for practice. However, supplies don't grow on trees, and I would greatly appreciate the occasional small donation to keep me neutral income range.
 - For any regiment, I need detailed explanation of what you want. (ie. What rank, what weapon if any, etc.)
 - For regiments that already have media of them, I will need to see as much of it as possible.

 Application forms:
 Pre-existing/historical:

A neater thread will come up tomorrow. Thanks in advance, and keep the regiments interesting! If you have any requests on the characteristics of the individual wearing the uniform, feel free to add that. Examples include hair color, skin color, facial hair, head hair, etc.

But done in the style of Gino D'Achilles art for the Flashman books.

It's how much of an utter arrogant british gentleman he looks that I want you to capture.
Rank: Lieutenant Colonel (wearing a bicorn obviously)
Will credit be given to me for making this in any threads, signatures, etc.?: Of course you beautiful bastard!

This may seem challenging but I reckon you can do it, I'll even agree to that thing you asked the other day.

Accepted, as I love you, your regiment, and your application. :-*

The application got me though. I absolutely adore Flashman! But by style, I presume you mean the style of the character, not the painter, correct? As I am not all that willing to jump from art style to art style this early on.

As for model/character characteristics, do you want him to look exactly like Flashman? Or would you like some characteristics applied to him?

Well I don't know what your art style is at all ;), couldn't give an example painting could you?

But it's the way Gino makes Flash look, how utterly cocky and self assured he is.

If you capture that then I would love you even more than I did when I saw your Crimean mod.

Ah, yes, that would be the character of Flashman, not the style of the artist, I know just what you mean. I'll try to capture it well; I'll make it a bit larger than my Sutherland one, which I can attempt to post in a bit.

Jezza, you mean the character's style, not the artist's. I uploaded a very fuzzy WIP picture of the 93rd Corporal. Keep on mind, final versions will be uploaded using a high quality camera that will not merge together colors as severely as in that picture. The smudged brown bit is being fixed at the moment.

EDIT: I really hate mobile devices. Pardon the double post.

I suppose I can update the 93rd picture now. I abandoned the project because I was a bit frusterated that someone had poorly treated my paint... my expensive paint...

 I'm working on two things:

1. Jezza's request
2. An oil (with some acrylic as I had to get a smoother texture in some places) landscape of the battle of Alma painting that wont be done for a solid 2+ weeks.

I quite like the location. Alma feels so unique to me. That's why I'm doing it in the first place.

Got it. Considered; why are you interested in 42nd, might I ask?
