Title: ACW books!
Post by: Furrnox on September 10, 2014, 08:55:05 am
Are there any good ACW type books that showcases uniforms, weapons etc?

Because I found these and I was wondering where they could be from. Also does anyone maybe have them in a better resolution?

Those images are from the Osprey Men at Arms series of graphic encyclopedias. I have a few of them myself - they're great resources.

Well why not? Anytime I see a cheap ACW book that looks halfway decent I'll pick it up. Like we went to the beach and I found a copy of Thomas Paine's Common Sense for $3.

Corporal Si Klegg and his pard does a great job giving us idea of a Union soldier's equipment and arms. Has some sketch as well. It's far more accurate this way than Osprey.
