I suggest to not use more than 2 ships and 30 people each side (4 ships and 60 people in total).
You could try 3 ships each side, but with less cannons then, 6 cannons for example.
-
Great work, I checked out the mininaval server the other day and I must say that's some very well thought out code right there. I a lot neater than my attempt at a naval mod at any rate. It's a pity that there can be so few cannons at once but that's the limitations of warband I suppose.
I like the conquest mode with the moving respawn flags especially. I assume you end the match by setting the losing team to zero tickets when all the ships are sunk?
How many shots does it take to sink your ships, by the way? I wasn't able to do it when I was in the server the other day as I didn't have the time.
-
Thank you for your feedback :)
Some time after the last ship sunk, we just drown the survivors :D
The hitpoints of the ships depend on the amount of the cannons on the ships. 10 cannons survive about 20 hits and 2 cannons about 10 (the rest in between)

Oh interesting :o

This is a very nice addition to NW. Also great idea to place the explosives near the flag which will encourage boarding. With skilled regiments it will be extremely perilous.
-
Very good server! :).
-
Good stuff so far!

This is a very nice addition to NW.

This is a sick mod and really fun to play with a full server.
Huge Thanks to NwPublic Big Brother and Great Sister for making this mod. Congratz to both of you. <3

- Map pack updated: map 9 fixed + small changes.

This is so much fun, jeus its a great mod/upgrade. Would it be possible to add the big line ship models some how with this?

Fucking top notch. Probably the most fun I've had in NW in years
-
That is a very nice video, was fun watching it, thanks for uploading it :)
The big ships are theoretical addable. The problem is, that it moves a bit weird for the client, if he has no clientside tweak, as for the client it is a static object.
-
Here are some ideas I have:
-Add ramming that does damage and locks the rammed ship in position. I think this would make boarding nicer as you wouldn't have to worry about the enemy scooting away while you try and board
-Perhaps making it so ships that have taken damage a bogged down from all of the theoretical water they're taking on.
-instead of destroying the ship with a tnt crate have it so it transfers ownership of the ship to your team. I have a feeling this would add more incentives for boarding rather than taking repeated pot-shots from range.

Does it work with new update?
-
Does it work with new update?
Unfortunatly not.
Updating would take a few hours (maybe less, depends), but my list of stuff to update is very large.
We decided to publish the sourcecode (together with some other very unique servermods) soon, so someone who has a bit free time, can update them, and those mods will be preserved for the community.
-
Is there any progress?
-
Is there a new update?
-
I found time to fix the Mod. I will let Maxi update the first post, when he has time to do so.
Edit: Maybe we will upload the mod somewhere else, his call.

Hello,
is Cape Trafalgar's source somewhere available? Links are dead, the ones you posted don't contain any source files.
-
Files should still be there, worked for me when I downloaded them just there.

You mean these? As I wrote they aren't source files, just precompiled files. Authors should eventually give or sell mod source files, that are Python.
-
They are compiled files. You can decompile and update the files and then recompile them again.
-
Nope no files at all...authors are gone, I've had only answer from one of them Lilja (aka Kaneda Tachibana) who basically told me to settle for the compiled txt files here and go away. For whoever wants a naval gameplay on Warband with better ships and cannons, I suggest you to ask The Deluge's developers the source code...if they give you it. Now let me scram it...off with these creepy goofs around... ;D
