Editing banners/flags
« on: December 26, 2013, 07:07:46 am »
So lately, I've been trying to make flags and banners with my new regiment/signature logo. But every time I save the banners_b.dds so the folder location I go into game and the quality is complete crap. How do I fix this?

But also I'm having issues now with actually opening the .dds files all of a sudden. I have the Nvidia program that should allow me to open them but it still says it is the wrong file type. What can I do to fix that?

Well all i can say is , you should use the ''paint.net'' program , free software , allows you to convert formats and edit dds files without any odd problem ^^

This sucks.

Did you even try what Redstorm suggested? Get Paint.net, it's a great program, and load the .dds files in that. It'll operate just like Photoshop or Gimp does in that you'll be editing a 2D image. Then just save the changes and give it to your regiment members via something like Dropbox or some kind of file hosting site where they can actually download it.

Be sure to make a back-up, first!

Download Gimp and the .dds plugin. If you know how to use OpenBRF you should be fine. :)

Banner might look a bit better if the leaf boarder was cropped off and the circular emblem was sized to fit the banner resolution.
