Who are the Sumy Hussar Regiment?
Sumy hussar regiment created on 1 February 2016.This is the first Russian speaking cavalry regiment which based on EU comunity. In the entire history of the regiment was visited by more than 150 people! We do not stop there.The regiment develops and participates in such tournaments as CNWL. In Sumy the tight schedule.Sumy hussar regiment is an international regiment,it is a friendly invite and respect the company.In Sumy you can relax,chat with people on various topics as well as participate in tournaments!

Sumy hussar regiment was formed in 1796 from the same easily horse regiment, who led his story from the Sloboda Cossack regiments.
In 1812 8 active squadrons of the Sumy hussars were the 1st Western army in the 6th infantry corps of General D. S. Dokhturov, 2 spare squadron was in the 2nd reserve corps Lieutenant-General F. F. Ertel in the city of Mozyr.
In 1812, chief of the regiment was major-General count P. P. von der Palen, regimental commander — N.. Kanalov. In a rear-guard action at Vitebsk on 15 July 1812 Kanalov was wounded in his head-and handed over the command to Colonel D. A. Delyanov.
After the invasion of Napoleon's army in Russia, the regiment in heavy rear-guard battle covered the retreat of the main forces of the army from the border to the Borodino field, having distinguished himself in defensive battles under the Red, Borisov, Mozhaisk, under Ostrovno and Depth. Sumy hussars in the battle of Borodino were identified the brigade of major-General I. S. Dorokhov (3rd cavalry corps). They fought at Bagration flush and flushes at the battery Rajewski, after a fierce felling defeated Saint-Germain cuirassier regiment, but they suffered heavy losses; their commander Colonel Delianov got severe wounds, from which it could not recover.
After the abandonment of Moscow of the most experienced Sumy hussars was formed a partisan detachment, headed by captain of the guards artillery A. N. Seslavin. In addition to the usual guerrilla attacks on the enemy's rear, sumtsi were active in exploration, the results of which became the basis for the transition of Russian troops to the offensive. 31 October 1812 and became a Colonel Seslavin was appointed commander of the Sumy hussar regiment. Under his leadership, the Sumy hussars fought until 1814, already outside Russia. In foreign campaigns of the Russian army the regiment distinguished itself in the battles at Bautzen, Dresden, Liebertwolkwitz, Leipzig. Particularly hard for Sumy hussar was the battle of Liebertwolkwitz 2 Oct 1813, where they had two hours to play with experienced French cavalry before fought in Spain. However, the numerical superiority of the enemy cavalry, her experience fighting in Spain brought to the French victory.

Events: EU / 8pu Tuesday Line Battle (NEED LINES)

Information

The 8pu Tuesday Line battle has been created by the 8 Pulk Ulanow to create a new experience of line battles. Its a new experiance for us. We will try to make good event with good organisation. We will achieve this by well performed organization, excellent servers (We hope) and exceeding adminship, we will play on random maps,but later probably will create something else.

This is a European Line Battle. All events will be held on a Dutch server which should provide decent pings for the whole of the EU player base (170 slots). We will keep it up to about 170 people on the server. These events will be hosted every tuesday. The same thread will be used every week for this event.Time: 7pm GMT

In this event the classes to be played are Line,Arty,Cav and Light Infantry.

Details will be messaged to each regiment leader to 30 min before event.

Information

The 17e Monthly Siege Event has been created by the 17e Regiment d'infantrie de Ligne to create a new experience of siege events. With a past of many well hosted events including the 17e Sunday Linebattle and multiple tournaments as well as myself (Herishey) used to be hosting the 3rdFG Linebattles we aim to create a new experiance. Our goal is to make this the most professional and skilled siege event ever hosted in this community with a few new ideas. We will achieve this by well performed organization, excellent servers (We hope) and exceeding adminship, we will also be introducing 3 maps to start with where a poll will be held to decide which map will be used each month (One new map being added each month).

This is a European Siege Event. All events will be held on a German server which should provide decent pings for the whole of the EU player base (200 slots). We will keep it up to about 140-160 people on the server. These events will be hosted monthly usually on the last Wednesday or possibly Saturday of every month. The same thread will be used every month for this event.

In this event the classes to be played are Line or Arty. Also I do not think we will be accepting regulars but some exceptions may be made.

King's and Regimental Colours of the Black Watch

History:
The 42nd Regiment of Foot, the Black Watch fought from Egypt to Spain and through to Waterloo. In Egypt the 42nd captured an Imperial Eagle; in Spain the 1st Battalion's stalwart defense saved the lives of other Regiments and that of the military theorist and Scottish general John Moore. In Belgium the 42nd gained huge fame and love from Wellington himself at the Battles of Quatre Bras and Waterloo. The 42nd was at the chaotic Battle of Quatre Bras on 16 June 1815 and was one of four battalions mentioned in dispatches by Wellington. Two days later at the Battle of Waterloo, the 42nd and also the 2nd/73rd Highlanders, which was to become the 2nd Battalion, Black Watch, were both in some of the most intense fighting in the battle and lost 289 men. It is said that without Quatre Bras there would never have been a Battle of Waterloo.
