No. Many cavarlymen had bayonets - in the Napoleonic French army even the Chasseurs de la Garde had them.

Remember this is a modern drawing, not a period photo...
hmm.
Why didn't anyone use extra long muskets with bayonets on as lances. I think it would work well.

Wieght comes to mind. Also, shooting with a lance-ling musket would be difficult without a fork to keep it up, like those old-age Arquebusques.

It wouldn't. A lance is a weapon to be used with 1 hand, a musket isn't - as well as being off-balance for such use. Apart from the purely logistical problem of not being able to keep it anywhere on a horse.

I'm sure a bayoneted carbine could be a nifty weapon in a close quarters scenario, obviously not ideal but useful

The bayonet would but a massive gash in your leg...

So would a lance :P
In theory we could do huge player numbers far over 500 players per server...  As such we will surely keep our promise to deliver you the 500 players per server.

We will probably go (far) over it, but that's for later.

I love the Belgian uniforms from that era though, they're practical and good looking. I love the chasseurs and carabiniers especially, the green coats and the top hats? Hnnnnngggg!

Listen to me big fat red haired spastic, you don't have half of my intelectual capacity, you are a fucking brain less animal, i think your mother throwed you on a wall when you were a baby and this is why you have the same brain as a monkey,
You understand nothing, this is why you are working at 20, because your brain did not allowed you to go to school to grab a decent degree, being toxic on a video game is not the same as being retarded, you should try to do some maths exercices because remember you can't even count to 10 if you remember one of the recent tournament, so now go threat your gambling addiction before your mom kick you out of her house.
And you should also go in an asylum, you get triggered by a fucking game and go in depression, deleting everyone on Steam and setting your profile as private, you cunt.

I love how every time the writer admits they were just uniformed civilians lacking any experience or training, but then says 'they made up for in zeal'.

Suuuure.

We can't be too hasty to judge Duuring, afterall, many of the Dutch militia at Quatre Bras and Waterloo were fresh conscripts and they certainly possessed a level of zeal
