Too bad Tim Allen no longer does hats. I have two of his and they are the best slouch hats ever.

Pardon the dust but notice the hand stiching here. It was based off a original in Troianis collection.

I got some more also, both are in USA.

http://missouribootandshoe.tripod.com/index.html- pretty much all leather gear for ACW, and from what I hear pretty nice knapsacks.

http://www.jarnaginco.com/ - pretty big sutler, does French and Indian war all the way to the Civil War.

Local paper huh? Let me guess, "Local Australian Teen Impersonate a French Soldier reported missing after mysterious Dalek-backed ambush"  ?

Duvall Leatherwork

He makes some of the best leather gear out there. Nice guy too. Can be a bit expensive but you get what you pay for.

Tim Bender

Makes very nice hats and, in my opinion, the best 1858 dress hat(hardee) out there. His customer service is the BEST. I can not stress that enough.

I like what Dordak is doing here. I think I will share some works of Wambaugh and NJ Sekela later.

I could be mistaken, but wasn't the Hardy hat designed to have one side held up by a badge?
