Welcome to BoP: Europe 1933

The ideals of fascism are beginning to take root in Europe and the World. Italy and Japan are already home to the idea and in Spain tensions are at their limits. The eyes of the world have turned to Germany where Adolf Hitler has just been elected as the new chancellor.

Rules

Warfare
The players are limited to taking broad strategic decisions to fight their wars, in-depth details will simply be used to a degree. (This is to avoid the "but i did this and that and this and that" problem that occurs in many BoP games) Warfare in BoP: 1933 will be decided by rolling of dice, with the applying of advantage/disadvantage modifiers after. Players who wish to plan an offensive/defensive strategy, or fight an all-out battle against their enemy must send their plans to the GM via PM.

- Plans are key to winning wars so do not be afraid to be detailed in your broad strategies. However what you write in your PM might not go according to plan so please do not get upset if things derail, there are other factors the GM needs to consider when orders are sent in.

- If what you are sending is a plan and not an order make it extremely clear in the PM. I'm not lazy and will read your PMs word for word but if it's not clear and you fail to respond if I ask you for more details I will carry them out as orders.

- Naval invasions into enemy territory are very risky and need considerable planning. The resources from required from your naval and land forces may be great, and once a Naval Invasion is ordered it is extremely hard to call it off and retreat. Make sure you want to invade and are prepared to do so. Nations with large and powerful navies are obviously better equipped to handle naval invasions, and will get an advantage when doing so. If you are ordering a naval landing it will not be carried out instantly but after 2 - 3 months of planning.

- Naval landings into friendly territory, such as territory controlled by one's allies, require only a small amount of preparation, planning, and time to initiate.

- Paratroopers are in their infantry and have not truly been tested on the field on battle. They, like naval invasions, need considerable planning. Sending them in behind enemy lines is highly risky and will demand massive planning. If you are ordering a para drop it will not be carried out instantly

- Favorable terrain may give defenders the advantage, while unfavorable terrain may give Defenders/Attackers the disadvantage. I trust you to be mature enough to know basic geography in your attacking/defensive moves.

- Defenders are always at an advantage versus attackers. Using overwhelming numbers or flank maneuvers can change the tide.

- Giving your forces time to dig in will strengthen their defensive capabilities, but will make it harder for your generals to react upon flanking manoeuvres.

- Moving your forces around takes time, maybe a couple of weeks or so for large forces.

-Battle plans can be split into stages, with each stage being a possible battle should the circumstances allow it. Drastic changes to your battle plans though can cause break downs in the chain of command.

-Shelling can now be done on an enemy location, granting a -1 penalty to the enemy for every day spent shelling up to a maximum of 15.

-Scouts are fast, sneaky units mainly used to show one where his enemy is and what they are doing. Aerial reconnaissance is becoming more crucial as well! Scouting is based on a dice roll, for whether you see anything or nothing, and if you do see something, how much do you see.

-Your military's professionalism IS a great factor in one's victories and defeats. A well-trained, professional, volunteer force will have a great advantage over a force of conscripts.

- Your troops have morale. Making huge tactical mistakes or letting the country fall into destruction will have an effect on your military's morale, and this discontent may spread throughout your country...

Mobilisation

Mobilisation is simply the amount of men being called into military service and the transition of the military from peacetime to wartime. Each level of mobilisation will increase the amount of men one holds in action, reserve, and on the field, but will also increase the detrimental effect on one's economy. Extended and Full should be considered the standard mobilisation levels for WW2.

Conscription armies
Partial Mobilisation -  All men up to 25 are mobilised for active service, except those in various professions, students, and others.
Extended Mobilisation - All men up to 35, except men in various necessary proffessions.
Full Mobilisation - All men up to 50, also lowering the requirements and removing exceptions to forced enlistment.
Excessive Mobilisation - The enlistment of all men capable of service for active duty. Excessive mobilisation should be treated as a real last resort because it basically brings your country to a standstill.

Volunteer armies
Partial Mobilisation -  50% of your reserves are called up
Extended Mobilisation - 75% of your reserves are called up
Full Mobilisation - Your full military might is called to bare.

Players can a also choose between the types of army they have. This will effect the skill level and size of the armed forces at your disposal depending on what type of armed forces you pick.

Volunteer Army - Small but highly skilled armed forces that consists of men serving their time with the colours and in the reserves. Mobilisation will only call your reserves into service!
National Service - Army based around conscription with men serving short military terms before returning to civilian life. Many jobs however are exempt from conscription. Your military is large and hold basic skills and mobilisation will call men from civilian life into the military.
Service by requirement - Creates a large, rather unskilled military. Mobilisation will do what it says on the tin.

Nations with Volunteer armies can take on volunteer campaigns to try and boost the man power of your military or enact the draft. This will decrees the skill of your military however.

Nations also have the option of instituting civilian militias, similar to the "Home Guard" seen in both WW1 and WW2. Militias offer a mediocre source to improving your civilians' military prowess in case war breaks out, as well as significantly reducing the economic drawbacks from full-on mobilisation. However, it is obviously not effective enough to base your entire military on, and should be viewed as a support mechanism. Militias cannot be used for offensive actions, only defensive. Be warned, arming your populace dire times may work, but an armed unhappy populace with no war to fight may turn their weapons on their own government, if unrest is high...

Diplomacy
- Don’t sign agreements that you will break quickly. Please. Just don’t.

- Treaties and agreements can be severed in a number of ways, however the best diplomatic way of breaking agreements would be through "Opt-Out" clauses. (For example "I will aid you in conflict, Except against Romania") When negotiating with another country, one can choose to make alliances Offensive (only offensive wars), Defensive (only defensive wars), or General (all wars). Opting out via one of those clauses will have no major detrimental effects on one's nation (besides the diplomatic ramifications with the affected country and/or neighbors).

- You can support nations at war (or rebellions) in different ways.
Declare diplomatic support - Simply publicly display your backing to one side (mainly used to scare/threaten others into not joining)
Supplying - Secretly or publicly sending arms, food, goods etc to a warring party
Allowing volunteers to fight / forming a volunteer corps - secretly/publicly send men that are not politically sent by your nation to fight on one side. (Very risky, with great diplomatic ramifications if caught)
Simply declaring war. - Declare war and fight with a warring party.

- Since this era is the era of Nationalism, it may be easier to acquire friendly relations with other nations. Always remember past events and your nation's history, as this may make finding friends and allies easier or harder depending on who you are and who your neighbors are. Likewise, nations who are historical friends or share similar cultures may find themselves in good alliances.

- Upon winning a war, the victorious party has a multitude of options to choose from:
Full Annexation - The entire losing nation is absorbed into the victor's lands (Easier for small countries, nearly impossible for large Western powers)
Ceding of lands/acquiescence - The losing party receives peace terms, which may range from small amounts of land being ceded to the victor to war reparations and demilitarisation.
Puppet State - The losing party becomes a puppet state of the victorious party, with their independence and sovereignty severely reduced.

-The losing party of a war also has a multitude of options to choose from:
Surrender - The losing party agrees to whatever peace offers the victorious party grants them.
Exile - The losing party's government goes into exile with a neighboring country or ally. The war will remain active, along with hostilities and conflict should opposing forces remain active on the battlefields. Exiled governments can return to their nations if they win or make great progress or simply feel safe enough to return.
Resistance - (Can only be used if puppet state'd, or full annexed) The losing party's government goes into hiding, and attacks on the occupying nation will begin. If left unattended the victorious nation might begins to loses control of the newly acquired lands as time goes on, with the nation gaining a chance to regain its sovereignty should the resistance movement prove successful.

- Players should try to limit their posts to diplomatic decisions and statements, rather then continuously replying to each other.  Replying to statements is of course okay, but stay IC when doing so.

Politics
Every nation in the game has a government, which may give bonuses/negative effects towards certain actions and strategies. The government systems in this game are: Democracy, Fascism, Communism and Dictatorship.

-Democracy works by having a ruling party preside over the nation for a set period of time that is voted into office. Elections are decided by a dice roll, with 11-39 representing the more conservative spectrum of politics, 40-59 being moderate, and 60-89 being the liberal spectrum. More conservative politics will give bonuses to military and government actions but may make your people unhappy. Moderates are in the middle, and gain a very slight bonus to all actions of the government, however if a player begins to stray from the party's ethos your people might begin to become unhappy.

- Rolling a 1 - 10 will land you a socialist government that might set you down the road to communism whilst rolling a 90 - 100 will land you with a right wing government that might send you on the path to fascism.

- Dictatorships are one person controls the nation. Dictatorships have little to no democratic elements. It allow the player free reign to commit most/any actions, however they must keep an eye on unrest and unhappiness, lest they be overthrown for another form of government.

-Fascist and Communist governments gain Full control over their government, along with the trade and economy of their nation, letting them modify many aspects of their nation to supplement whatever agenda the player chooses to follow. Another pressing problem, unrest, can be easily be solved by propaganda and elimination of the opposition. However, one must still be careful, for propaganda and fear can only take you so far.
[close]
Unrest
Every nation in this game has people, citizens who go about their daily lives, work in industry, and fight their nation's wars. A happy and controlled population is much easier to work with than an unhappy, rebellious population. The placating and control of the civilian population is an important facet of BoP: 1933.

- Players must be wary not to commit horrible acts of military errors during their wars, or fight too many pitched and bloody battles or war crimes. Sending hundreds of thousands of men off to die not only impacts your economy, but also increases the unrest of the general population as well as makes replenishing said lost manpower much harder whilst war crimes might cause your population be begin to shift towards demanding peace.

- Players can reduce unrest and unhappiness by targeting opposition groups or certain political parties that are considered "Dangerous" by the state. Moderation is required however; oppressing the masses too much may lead to a revolution in one's nation.

- Rebellions come in many forms, from revolutions to protests and petitions to the sovereign. How a player handles unrest events may decrease/increase the unrest in a country. Temperance is needed.

-Revolts and Revolutions, if unchecked, may spiral out of control and spread to neighboring nations. To avoid an international blunder, it may be wise to intervene in a revolution as an outside party, even if it could prove beneficial to a player.

Some nations can get away with more than others!

Technology
Research Spreadsheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1isB9dQ89-ca8xmfiaq65qKuKCbpEAZ5HGtZsrC-DWgQ/edit?usp=sharing)

Nations in BoP: 1933 have a score between 1 - 5 at the beginning of the game. This score is called your "Scientific Points" and are what you spend to unlock technologies. When you commit to a technology you will be locked into researching said technology and will not be permitted to change techs mid way.

Tech trading in BoP: 1933 is banned

- Research Agreements are treaties between nations to cooperate in the Sciences. The effects of entering into a research agreement with other nations are:
  • Research Agreements allow two (or more) nations to co-op research on a tech by combining their points. Nations without Research Agreements will not be allowed to co-op a tech together, even if both nations are researching the same tech.
  • Research Agreements allow nations the option to automatically share newly discovered technologies to other nations they have a research agreement with. It is almost always assumed that if you enter a research agreement with someone, you will be sharing new discoveries together, so players must be vigilant to make sure they are not being tricked.

Economy, Trade, and Industry
You nations economy is based off of a point system called Industrial Points. These points are what governs the effectiveness of your industry. These points must be used to meet civilians demands as well as your military demands. The more your military is used the more it will demand in order to replace it's losses or to keep its supply lines open.

In BoP:1933 there are two types of economy: Capitalist and Command economy. Each one has pros and cons and are naturally different to one another.

Excess Industrial Points are also tradeable after a nation researches the "Merchant Navy" technology whilst military demands can be lowered though the tech tree.

Capitalist
Capitalist economies are the majority economy in BoP:1933. They often are marked by having a high civilian demand which can never be removed. In order to reduce civilian demand capitalist economies must ration. This will reduce civilian demand for Industrial point freeing up demand for military use.

Quarter Rationing - The Government introduces rationing into the economy and reduces the civilian demand by 10%
Half Rationing - The Government introduces rationing into the economy and reduces the civilian demand by 30% to some discontent
Full Rationing - The Government introduces rationing into the economy and reduces the civilian demand by 60% to far more discontent.

Failing to meet civilian needs in a Capitalist economy can lead to discontent amount the population.

Command
The ruling party/person hold full control over the nations economy and can swap demand about at will. Their economy can be used in three ways in order to change demands.

Mixed Economy - Military and Civilian needs are equally matched
War Economy - The Government begins to make many civilian factories into military factories reducing civilian demands by 50%
Fully Militarises Economy - The Government issues orders for the economy to become focused solely to the war reducing civilian demand by 90% but causing serious issues for the home front!

Not meeting the demands of the people in a command economy has less serious effects but is still ill advised!

You can gain more IP through the "Industrial Efficiency" tech.

Keeping you IP stable is critical to victory and you can loose it through bombing raids and though having your merchant lines cut by enemy U-boats. If your demand outstrips your supply you will find yourself faces with serious economic difficulties.

Welcome to BoP: 1933

The ideals of fascism are beginning to take root in Europe and the world. Italy and Japan are already home to the idea and in Spain tensions are at their limits. The eyes of the world have turned to Germany where Adolf Hitler has just been elected as the new chancellor. With is victory in the elections Europe, particularly Russia, holds its breath as the National Socialist German Workers' Party takes one last step towards what would seem a Fascist Germany.

In the east China is still in the grips of the Civil war that broke out in August 1927. Though the Republic of China has received aid from many foreign nations the communist rebels have managed to create the self proclaimed Chinese Soviet Republic. In this confusion the Empire of Japan invaded and annexed Manchuria and now sit poised to strike out at the Republic of China. Relations between these two nations has almost reached breaking point and the League of Nations has done little to nothing to solve the crisis.

Back home in Europe tensions in France and the USSR is also beginning to heighten. French workers have begun to grow restless longing for socialist reforms from their government. Unwilling, the nationalistic government has refused to shift to the workers demands and strikes seem imminent. If left unchecked or if response is too harsh these strikes risk the chance of turning violent and the French government is hard pressed to deal with these issues as divides within the government itself makes the situation that much harder. In Russia, Stalin seems on the verge of instigating purges unlike any seen before, all he has to do it give the word.

The world economy is still trying to climb out of the Great Depression and many governments are too busy dealing with their economical situation to both with external affairs. America in particular has adopted a policy of splendid isolation to keep itself out of world, and particularly European, affairs. Will this dormant giant stir though if the world falls into the chaos of war again?

Though the League of Nations has made something of an effort in keeping the peace in Europe its failure in Manchuria has caused it a massive loss of face. Will any nations take the time to exploit this seeming unwillingness to deal the major nations of the world or will the major members band together to maintain peace?

The date is 30th January 1933 and the world is waiting to find out.

GM notes
This is the warm up event so that you can test out the new systems of IP and SP. Please do not declare any wars until we really get going in August 1934

II Duce of Italy, the great Benito Mussolini, would like to congratulate his friend Adolf Hitler of the Weimer Republic on the victory he had gained in the recent elections.Propaganda shall be spread depicting the German and Italian as friends, one next to each other, both with prowess and glory.

The Kingdom of Italy spreads propaganda depicting the Germans and Italians as friends.

Furthermore, II Duce would like to perform a small change in the education system - new books will be written for Italian children in which they will depict the prowess of the Italian Kingdom, and the love that its leader, II Duce Benito Mussolini has for his people and the love his people has for him.

School books will now educate fascist values and nationalism, all from the Italian narrative.

The President is seriously worried about the results of the lastest election in Germany. Democracy is the highest form of government and means everyone is free to vote for whoever he wants to vote - however, the rise of fascist idiologies is seen with concerns.

The situation in the Pacifics also concerns the government. The current situation in China may threaten the interior as well as the exterior security of the United States. The government will take all necessary actions to ensure our nation's safety.

The Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics begins the Second Plan, which should last for 4 years, enacting the following changes:

- Most of the money in the nation will be directed towards the economy, specifically factories and steel production.
- More money will be put into improvements in communications and railways.
- The introduction of childcare for mothers.

The Soviet Union announces that the border of Ukraine and Kuban is closed from the rest of the USSR, to prevent starving farmers from searching for food. The USSR does not deny the famine, and although that it may be exaggerated by nationalist Ukranians, the USSR believes that it is in the best interests of Ukranian farmowners to give up their land and join collective farms - this is a campaign to encourage them to give up their farms. Propaganda is mass spread throughout the USSR, but mainly in Ukraine.

By ignoring the Royal Norwegian Government's request for financial aid from the free world (the U.S.A. and the U.K.), the nation is forced to negotiate with other super powers. It looks both to the South and East. Hence Hans Kongelige Majestets Regjering requests aid from the Weimar Republic and/or the Soviet Union to face the Great Depression.

IL Duce of Italy, the great Benito Mussolini, suggests Norway to undertake a revolution of agendas in the country. As now the indigenous people of Germany realized and voted Herr Hitler into office, for him to lead Germany into economical greatness, Norway should follow and undertake similar changes in order to achieve economical greatness again.

Italy warmly suggest Norway to undertake the same economical system that both Germany and Italy undertook.

Furthermore, in relation to the statement above, IL Duce would like to announce a new project to help relieve the weight on the shoulders of the Italian economy - the government is ought to spend a large amount of money on public works, like improving the railway tracks, fixing damage done by the Great war, building new schools, hospitals, libraries and more public infrastructure, so more jobs would be created for the people of greater Italy and the Italian colonies.

Italy spends money on building public works and creating jobs.

Lastly, IL Duce, the great Benito Mussolini, gladly announces the release date for his new book: "Il popolo italiano per lo Stato italiano", depicting the life of the nationalistic and indigenous Italian. It would explain II Duce's views on the world, in addition for its now mandatory use in all forms of education, both academic and basic.

A new book depicting the vision of the Italian State and its greatness, as well as the implementation of said book into the school system when released.

The World
Times are moving

With Hitler's election into office Europe and indeed much of the world has begin to move at a million miles per hour. Fear of fascism seems to be guiding the hand of diplomats with non-aggression pacts flying between nations as if it were the afternoon papers. Many nations have taken notes of the shifting diplomatic tides of Europe with great care. In Iberia the Treaty of Lisbon makes the possibility of a united fascists Iberia whilst Yugoslavia's guarantee of Albania has strengthened ties between itself and Italy. Another alliance that looks to be strengthening fascism, the Mediterranean-Black Sea Prosperity Sphere, has caused angry stirs in Bulgaria who view it with suspicion and a touch of fear. The biggest diplomatic shifts however has been the The Triple Concordat. Herr Hitler during his elections campaign mad little secret of his plans to gain Lebensraum for the German people. This new alliance has but Germany in a very tight situation. If events were to escalate they'd be facing well armed foes on both sides.

Other events have caused small stirs as well. Norway, still in the depths of economic turmoil, called out to the work for aid. And the world yelled back "no" in a very soft voice. With many nations still trying the claw their way out of the great dispersion none wish to come to the struggling nations' aid. The USSR has begun to move rapidly to try and keep itself above the water. Though its command economy had allowed it to withstand much off the depression it came at a cost. The efforts to maintain this fragile state in the economy has cause minor reforms with much food being shifted from Ukraine, what this will cause though is yet to be seen.

The East
Eastern Tensions

Mongolia has come to the League of Nations with troubling news. It presented a message it has received from the USSR and news that caused great ripples of worry to flow though the chamber. The USSR had demanded military access through Mongolia without giving proper reasoning for wanting the access. Along with this demand Mongolia informed the League that the USSR was amassing troops along their boarders. Suspicion though has lead many to believe that the USSR is trying to give aide to the Chinese Soviet Republic in it's struggle against the Republic of China. Tensions in the east are already high in the east and these events have only done much to heighten this.

The Demands of the Workers & The Deal

The Workers in France have put forward their demands!

 - the removal of all obstacles to form unions
 - A blanket 7-12% wage increase for all workers

The French government agrees to legalize strikes and to remove all obstacles to form unions but we refuse to increase the wages in the public sector as we don't see it as the governments business to interfere in the private sector of the economy instead it should be up to the employee and employer to negotiate wages or up to unions to negotiate on the behalf of the worker.

However the government agrees to raise the wage for all workers in the public sector with 7%.

The Soviet Union is outraged by the Italian statements earlier this morning. Stalin himself finds it rather funny how Benito Mussolini, the greatest dictator in the world, dares to call a workers man, a man who represents the proletariat of the Russian people, a dictator! In response to the anti-Communist propaganda being produced, the Soviet Union imposes a ban on all anti-Communist material being produced in the Soviet Union, whether it be posters or manifestos. The Soviet Union also begins producing anti-Fascist propaganda, which will be mass spread throughout the Soviet Union, printed upon walls and sent out in schools, indoctrinating the youth that Fascism is the worst form of diseases known to man.

Commuists are dangerous people, and have attacked our country, only recently setting fire to the Reichstag. The Chancellor, and his fellow
party members encourage all true German politicians, who love their country, to vote for them in the upcoming election on the 5th of March. By doing so,

The Deutsche Arbeitsfront (German Labour Front; DAF) is to be formed. The new organisation will be run as a trade union for all
people of Germany. Its function will be 'to create a true social and productive community' in Germany. Each region in the State of Germany will have
its own office for the DAF, where willing citizens of Germany may sign up. The Chancellor and his Government guarantee work will be found for
those who join the DAF.

With the threat of Communism, the Anti-Kominterm will be formed. This agency will be tasked with removing all known Communists from the
nation. Communism is now an illegal pursuit, and any person attempting to promote Communism will be imprisoned.

Anti-Communist propaganda is to be produced and distributed around the Nation.

The United States of America condemn the proposed Enabling Act.
Passing laws without the parliament means dictatorship. The President is sure that the people of Germany will notice that and are not going to vote for Mr. Hitler's party in the next election. It is clear that Hitler's aim is to become nothing less then a dictator.

Due to the recent events in Germany the Government feels forced to refuse the German non-aggression treaty.

The government calls for the European nations to do the same. Germany is obviously trying to bring the great nations together in non-aggression treaties, but ignores minor nations. Nations like Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria and Poland would be nearly defenceless. We must ensure that the Treaty of Versailles is kept by BOTH parties.

Update
- Workers in France have begun small scale strikes

- Anti-communist sentiment in Germany rises

- Parliamentary Election in Greece have resulted in a Coup

- The NSDAP win the march elections in Germany

- The USSR has forcibly annexed the Tuvan's Peoples Republic

- Conservative senators in the US have begun to crises Roosevelt

Europe
Election Mayhem

The French Government has managed to avoid crises with only small pockets of workers carrying through their threats of strikes.Workers are still protesting to gain higher wages. Many are discontent that the paper pushers have been granted higher wages! The strikers have been doing a great deal to spread support for the socialist ideals that are guiding them and more workers have begun to discuss striking. It would seem that though a major crisis has not been avoided but merely...delayed.

On the 5th of March two sets of elections took place with mixed results. In Germany the NSDAP won a majority of seats in the Reichstag beating out the SPD and KPD. However the number of voting Germans and number of opposition ministers running against the NSDAP both seemed to have dropped. Some have stepped forwards and claimed that the NSDAP's thugs, known as the SA, were seen knocking on opposition's doors and having a "quick word" with them before leaving again. Is it possible that Heer Hitler is using terror to gain a stronger foothold in Germany?

In Greece the elections have sparked of a set of events that have spiraled out of control. The pro-monarchist People's Party emerged as the largest party, winning 118 of the 248 seats in Parliament. Thinking that their seat was secure the coup by Nikolaos Plastiras and other Venizelism officers came as a massive shock. In ensuing mayhem has cause the nation to literally split between the North and the South. Though the Coup in Athens failed Plastiras and his fellow conspirators manged to escape to the North have have established the self-declared Republic of Greece and declared war upon the Kingdom of Greece. Many have stood back in horror at how events could have gotten out of hand so fast but documents have immured suggesting that Plastiras has outside backing for his cause. The Greek Civil War will be the greatest test for the League of Nations and Europe in years. If handled incorrectly the result could be a long and bloody war that will tear Greece apart.

The East
Eastern Tensions

Europe is not the only location where events have taken off faster than politicians can handle. The Tuvan People's Republic has been rubbed off the map by the USSR. On the 20th March Russian troops crossed the Tuvan boarder claiming that the government of the small republic had invited them in. The tiny Tuvan military did not dare to resist and allowed Russian tanks and men to roll unopposed towards the Capital. On the 22nd March 1933 under the eyes of the man of steel himself the Chairman of the Tuvan People's Republic, Khertek Anchimaa-Toka, signed a document joining Tuvan to the Union of Socialist Soviet Republics.

The USSR were not the only Soviets who were taking action. The Soviet Republic launched an offensive along the North Eastern boarder of the two Republics. Republican troops held the line as waves of battle crying Soviet troops threw themselves at the boarder entrenchment. The poorly armed Reds did not stand a chance against the better equipped Republics and were cut down in droves. What they lacked in skill and equipment though, they made up for in numbers and determination. Though much of the Republican lines help in the very Northern part of the offensive the red tide managed to break through, the weight of numbers simply proving too much for the defenders to bravely stood their ground until the bitter then. Though the reds only managed to gain a small amount of ground from Republican forces it could prove to be a decisive propaganda tool. The ground gained though cost the Soviet Chinese 9 thousand casualties whilst the Republicans only suffered 4 thousand causalities.

The Chancellor Adolf Hitler wishes to thank all members of German Parliament that voted for the NSDAP. Now, the government
can begin strengthen and unify the German people. The Chancellor and his Government wish to reinforce what has been said before; "The Treaty of
Versailles is an embarrassment to the people of Greater Germany. Our nation cannot survive without the honour it deserves."

Following the victory in the government, the Chancellor wishes to announce the passing of the Enabling Act.
This will allow him the unlimited power needed to create a better Germany. As part of the above mentioned Act, the Chancellor has passed
the following laws;

Communism is now a completely illegal pursuit. The Communist Part is now banned from all German politics. Anyone known to be
operating as a Communist will be persecuted and imprisoned immediately.

Every form of local government must now have a NSDAP majority. This is the only way the Chancellor can insure Germany can become strong again.

The Third French Republic

The nationalist party have heard the voice of the people and assure them that the new wage increases was done to benefit the working force of the public sector such as firemen, cops, soldiers, teachers etc.
As a sign of good will the nationalist members of the national assemble have agreed to not take part in the new 7% wage increase.

Second Polish Republic

The Polish government is outraged by the recent actions of the Soviet Union and the lack of response from the international community. Under Article 11 of The Covenant of the League of Nations, the Polish government demands a meeting of the League of Nations be held to discuss the matters in the east. The Soviets are a threat to international peace, therefore it is a matter of concern for the League.

The Republic of Poland condemns the Soviets actions and calls for a meeting of the League of Nations.

The Soviet Union dismisses the Polish claim. As we are not a part of the League of Nations, our government shall not abide by the laws of the League of Nations.

The Third French Republic

As the news of Gulags (concentration camps) in the Soviet Union comes to light the French is the first to condemn such actions, the soviet union says it's for the people by the people yet it puts their own population in these camps to work till their deaths. The words of communism seem to be a greater threat than we first thought.

The Nationalist Party uses "gulag" propaganda to scare of communism in the country.

The French Third Republic issues heavy sanctions on the Soviet Union and encourages other nations to do the same.

The French Third Republic will attend the League of Nations summon by the Second Polish Republic.

Civil Wars
Civil Wars

China has seen further bloodshed with the Chinese Soviets mounting another offensive again the Republic. Looking to exploit on their previous gains the soviet forces have again managed to make further progress into the east of Nei Mongol. The Republican forces were again unable to withhold the sheer numbers that were pushing into a single area and were forced back, but not without leaving the soviets with a damn bloody nose. The better equipped Republican forces were able to inflict staggering 16 thousand casualties to the Soviet forces whilst only suffering 7 thousand themselves. This loss though has caused another loss of face for the Republican government which desperately needs to defeat the communist issue. Japan still looms to their east and the Republic still fears an invasion in imminent.

The Fascists in Greece have also wasted no time in taking the offensive. In a matter of days after the establishment of the self declared Republic of Greece volunteers from Yugoslavia begun to flood into the ranks of the fascist forces. Spurred on by this sudden bulged in man power and the feeling of safety from Italy's guarantee, Nikolaos Plastiras ordered an offensive against the loyalists. His hast however proved to be a disaster. Counting on the support of the Hellenic Army Plastiras had massively underestimated the loyalty of the Hellenic Army and it's generals. Two thirds of the Hellenic Army declared for the Hellenic Republic and its leader Alexandros Zaimis. The resulting battle was a bloody stalemate in Thessaly with neither side wishing to yield. Greece fascists and their Yugoslavian allies launched their offensive into Thessaly and were met by well prepared loyalist forces. Though they had not dug in yet the better armed and trained troops repelled the rushed offensive with easy. This blow to the fascist regime does not sit well for Plastiras who needed a victory to gain greater support in Greece. The offensive cost the fascists 3 thousand men whilst loyalist forces lost a mere 1 thousand.

Durare sino alla vittoria! Durare oltre la vittoria, per l'avvenire e la potenza della nazione!

II Duce of Italy, the great Benito Mussolini, says Italy would not keep quiet while the Republic of Greece is being attacked by the merciless Kingdom. Henceforth, Italy declares war upon the Kingdom of Greece. This is a separate declaration of war from the alliances Italy is in, henceforth it asks none of its allies would come to help.

The Kingdom of Italy declares war upon the Kingdom of Greece, asking Italy's allies to not intervene.

Nikolaos Plastiras personally thanks all the volunteers from Yugoslavia and sends the government finest Greek wine. He also wishes to thank Italy and Germany sending them finest wine along with his friendship.

Nikolaos Plastiras wishes to inform the world that the events in Greece are not a Civil War. They are in an attempt to remove the pro  King party and Panagis Tsaldaris from bringing back the Royal family so that they can once again feast and look out for their own personal gains, and not the good of the people.  Nikolaos Plastiras encourages all the people of Hellas to unite to put an end to this.

The Chancellor and his Government have decided that socialists, like Communists are too a threat to the prosperity of the nation.
They, as have communists, have infiltrated our society and are slowly drowning this great nation in a puddle of lies and deceit. It is because of this that
the chancellor has decided to ban all socialists in the country. He has also decided that trade unions and strikes will be banned throughout
the nation. This will ensure that both communists and socialists cannot inflict any more hurt on the great People of Germany.

All workers must now join the Deutsche Arbeitsfront (German Labour Front; DAF). All members must pay a relevant membership fee
(ranging from 15 pfennig to 3 Reichsmark depending on the trade of the worker). Members of the DAF are guaranteed work. Unemployed
men between the ages of 18-15 will be placed working on infrastructure - mainly that of building roads between the major cities of Germany.
It is now also illegal to employ workers who are not members of the DAF.

To begin the improvement of our nation, factories are to be built in every major city with emphasis on the
following factories; steel, clothing and food. Unemployed men and women will be employed in these factories once constructed.

Germany also wishes to express our support for the Fascists in Greece. They are the rightful leaders of that nation

Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics
"Workers of the world, unite!"

- The Soviet Union expresses its support for the Hellenic Republic; Fascists aren't fit to rule any country.

- The Soviet Union begins to halt unwarranted mass arrests in the countryside. Everyone who feels like it, including people who, strictly speaking, have no right to do so, is out arresting people. To combat this problem, the Soviet Union will begin releasing unjustly arrested people from prison.
