Every team must read the following rules as they are very important and EGS rules are different compared to normal tournaments.
We were kind of disappointed by seeing that even some captains didn't even read the rules. Please, read it all.

Roster Rules
- Rosters are capped at 9 people as you are aware.
- Players MUST sign up with their community names ONLY. No roleplay names allowed.
- Must also use community faces rather than randomized ones OR you face punishment (refer to EGS Rules)
- Transfer deadline is set at 5pm (17:00 GMT) the day before every tournament . After that, not a SINGLE change will be allowed.
[close]
General Rules
- Melee speed will be set on medium.
- The only class allowed is the line infantry.
- You aren't allowed to spawn if you are not playing.
- All matches will be ft7, apart from the Final (ft10).
- A good behaviour is expected. Insulting/toxicity will lead to 1 warning then a suspension from matches.
- Cheating once will result in a permanent ban of any future EGS tournaments.
- ID MUST be provided, if not, players with ID's missing won't be allowed to play. It can result in a temporary ban or even more.
[close]

Match Rules
- Once a match has been called, each team has ~5 minutes to get ready.
- If the first round is not started within ~5 minutes, the responsible team will be punished, as 1 round will be awarded to their opponents.

- After each round, each team has ~1 minutes before they must have typed 'r' again.
- If the next round is not started within ~1 minutes, the responsible team will be punished, as 1 round will be awarded to their opponents.

-The rules above are controlled by the referee - if the referee says ~5 or ~1 minutes is up, then the time is up.

-If there is clear delaying in a duel at the end of a round after 2 minutes then a warning to the fight will be given. If the player continues to delay or run from the duel then the admin can slay the player.

-In any case of a server crash/map change if it is to happen, then all current rounds WILL be VOIDED.

-tiebreaks will be; 1- wins vs tied opponents ; 2 - points

Congratulations to Gordon on not only winning the regular season but also winning the playoffs! They won the final match 10-9 against GoodFellas. Nr59 claimed the bronze medal over DwC.

A very competitive tournament from start to finish. Nearly every single game had the most possible rounds.

Thank you everyone for playing this season! L2 was a blast, not only as a player but also as an admin. A very exciting tournament series with 6 different winners. Thats what i like to see 8) I hope to see y'all next season! (if there is going to be one of course)

Props to Gordon, a deserved winner for what looks like the most competitive EGS season, regardless of the skill range. Honestly wish I had had the opportunity to stay up and watch the playoffs cause so many of these matches looked like pure fire. Commiserations to GoodFellas who still accomplished one hell of a run, especially for a team that didn't exist for a long time. I genuinely think all teams in the playoffs may have deserved a 'better' final placing considering the quality of their players but generally speaking, you guys can be proud of what you accomplished because reaching the playoffs and performing in it wasn't a given for anybody.

A special thought for the germans at Amigos who have been together for a long time, survived many EGS tournaments against arguably stronger opposition (when League 2 didn't exist) yet seemingly never ceased to improve as a group and 100% deserved to be in those playoffs. A lot of respect for these kinds of teams that don't strive on palmares or ego players but are essential to the survival of our competitive scene.

Lastly, a huge thanks to all the EGS admin team from League 2. Part of why it was a sight to behold is due to your constant hard work and seriousness. Although the rules about transfers between leagues and emergency subs could have been looked upon with more scrutiny (I would know it, I heavily benefited from it), we have to remember we are not a professional community and sometimes as an admin, you will prefer allowing something even if it opens the competition to slight abuse rather than strictly prohibit a change that may cause teams to not play. It's a tough balance to keep and it's also part of our role as a community to regulate ourselves and act as role models so that the people who try to benefit from a potential permissiveness in the ruleset remain a minority.
Don't worry about what people think, they don't do it very often.

Honestly this has been the most fun I have had playing tournaments since 2015. Thank you so much for organizing it!

Absolute nail-biters yesterday! Nr59 should have honestly beaten us but Vegi, Chada and Pizza pulled off an insane 3v6 clutch in the very last round. Then we went about our usual choking in the final up 8-4  ;D Well played to GoodFellas for showing their morale and coming back though! Shoutout to Naatsuu for putting in a brilliant showing in the final!

Good games to everyone!

Do not worry, I shall answer the Gods wishes and take part in the administration of the next season as the Overlord of EGS.

Jokes (?) aside, props to all the teams in League 2 and for its admins as you guys made it far more competitive (and thus, entertaining) than League 1 was. Was interesting to follow the different results from afar
