While that was a dick move, it's not unforgivable. He seems very sorry about what he did and he obviously understands that what he did was very wrong. Although you're shocked and offended about this, IDF I think you two should shake hands and try to be on good terms again.

On Monday, April 8th, I messaged two photos over steam to [1stNOG]General Jerusalem aka IDF. The photos were graphic and contained extremely offensive material. These two photos were making fun of the holocaust. Not only is IDF a part of the Jewish community, It was also the day after Holocaust memorial day, a detail I was tragically unaware of. I have made jokes and comments about such things in the past, which led me to believe it wasn't such a sensitive matter. After I had sent the photos, I noticed he was becoming very angry and pissed off. It's then when I began realizing the stupid mistake I had made. I quickly posted a North Korean anthem video to try and cover up what I had done, hoping to lighten up the mood a bit. He informed me at that point, that it was a day after the Holocaust memorial day. I took something meant to be funny way too far, and it became extremely offensive. I was the going to send him a video of cute puppies (To soften the situation up) but he had already removed me from his friends list.

I was an idiot, I will admit. I never intended for this to take such a wrong turn. I'm very very sorry. I do, with all my heart wish that I could take back those messages. I Sincerely apologize to IDF and the community for the dick move I made. Me and IDF were always close, and he provided me a kind friendship. I screwed it all up. And for that I am sorry.

I accept your apology, but on a professional level, not as friends.

As sincere as you might be, I simply can't associate with you.

Why you thought it was funny, I don't know. Would you of made the same joke on a different day? I don't know.

I believe and hope you've learned a life lesson...

I wouldn't let this get in front of your relationship with him, IDF. I know I may seem like a dick for saying this, but I live in NYC, and from the dozens of Jews I know personally, most of them would just laugh off something like this. Holocaust jokes are commonplace, and while they're tastless and often humorless, most people really don't get legitimately offended over a light quip like that.
