Roster Rules - Rosters are capped at 10 people as you are aware. - Players MUST sign up with their community names ONLY. No roleplay names allowed. - Must also use community faces rather than randomized ones OR you face punishment (refer to EGS Rules) - Transfer deadline is set at 5pm (17:00 GMT) the day before every tournament . After that, not a SINGLE change will be allowed. [close] | General Rules - Melee speed will be set on medium. - The only class allowed is the line infantry. - You aren't allowed to spawn if you are not playing. - All matches will be ft5, apart from the Round 2/Semi Finals and Bronze Match (ft7) and the Final (ft10). - A good behaviour is expected. Insulting/toxicity will lead to 1 warning then a suspension from matches. - Cheating once will result in a permanent ban of any future EGS tournaments. - ID MUST be provided, if not, players with ID's missing won't be allowed to play. Introduction Spoiler Welcome to the 1st edition of EGS Season 3 league 2! In this tournament it will be a 5v5 format. The 5v5 format is probably the best lineup for many teams and this will make this Sunday very competitive as teams fight for their seeding! Will we see another dominant french team win such as goodfellas? Will we see Gordon’s rise to fame? Or will we see another underdog take their place in the final? Much will be decided this Sunday and while the less experienced players will be fighting it, I can assure you it will be as intense as ever. [close] |
Prediction Spoiler Coming into this 1st edition of league 2, we can evaluate that Goodfellas are the slight favourites considering they have many players that once played in top teams.The biggest attribute of this team is their experience over the multitude of modules and I feel Maximou will be the player to watch for sure! Without mentioning much, the players such as Maximou, Lulu and Catastrophe have all played in top teams in the past and definitely have what it takes to upset the competition while more supportive players such as Ruler and coco will obviously be supporting the plays, be sure the 5v5 format for this team will be strong and definitely the one to beat In my opinion. A worthy opponent too good fellas would be the likes of Gordon’s, Crappers, Noodle alliance and DwC. Gordon’s with a strong regimental leader such as vegi are sure to cause an upset along with many experienced players such as Dayboul, Epicpizza and retamar but can they prove their experience this Sunday? Next we have Crappers, Lead in spec by the comeback king himself, Melsyo, You can be sure this team will make little mistakes and lightning fast calls, enough to bring such a newgen team with the likes of Plamper, Krembit, Valley, sadman and many more to the top this Sunday. Noodle alliance brings everything a league 1 team could hope to bring to the competition this Sunday, Skill, Experience and dedication, only thing they won’t be bringing is low ping but with players such as Yoshie, Yoloswag, Mikey, Horse and their FRA player Quenouille you can be sure this team will cause massive upset if underestimated at any point. Next we have DwC lead by a rusty but experienced leader, Saxon, They have the players needed to cause an upset this Sunday such as Ambiguous, Tomppa, Zenpel and the Groupfight server warrior himself, Dario. Be sure to watch these teams closely as they make their ways to the finals! I’m expecting the likes of 98e, 45e and SubV, CCCP junior to contend these giants mentioned above, with many underrated players and some experience they have the potential for an upset. Other teams such as bodyas Elements,Amigos, Courer de bois and Nr59 are likely to pass groupstages but could be contested by the likes of RG, PRY, RF and VIIe Corps. [close] |

Review Spoiler The group stage of the EGS #1 5v5 offered some amount of small surprises in terms of teams and their performance, While the current reigning champions Goodfellas only lost one match in the whole tournament, much is to be said about amigos unexpected performance coming first in their group. Noodle alliance was unable to live up to the standard we expected them too, beating Gordon 5-4 and then losing to CCCPjr 5-1, Many would have expected such a strong roster with many of NA's top players could at least get past the group stages. RG also managed to make it out the group stages along with RF who are arguably less experienced but showed superior skill to their opponents projecting themselves into the group stages. Goodfellas narrowly escaped defeat at the hands of SubV with a 5-4 victory showing that once again the 33rd team has much in terms of leadership and skill. Crappers are breathing a sigh of relief after beating PRY 5-4 showing that once again the lack of experience in tournaments like these might cost them a match in the future. Nr59 and CCCPjr both comfortably won their matches 5-3 showing they have what it takes to be in the next stage of the tournament. In the next stage of the tournament good fellas really stepped up their game by beating Gordon 7-2 showing them the French dominance that we see throughout the rest of the tournament, Amigos beat CCCPjr 7-6 allowing them to access a potential podium place that we see later on while crappers had a easy match vs RG beating them 7-1. DWC had an unlucky turn of events losing to Nr59 7-2 showing that a team such as that simply don't have the patience to beat a mainly German team. In the final stages of the tournament we see goodfellas beating crappers 7-5 and we also see Nr59 beating amigos 7-5, avenging their loss in the group stages and projecting themselves into the finals against good fellas while amigos and crappers battle it out in for the all important bronze match which will give them a good lead in the team standings. Not much can be said about the finals. Good fellas demonstrated why they where the favourite with players like Maximou and Lulu making big plays and simply out skilled their opponents. The bronze match was close with amigos beating crappers 7-5 securing their place as a podium winner. [close] |
