Welcome to the first tournament of EGS Season 3 hosted by Voluble & DarkTemplar. . This season we had doubled our admin team and capacity to incorporate two leagues to create a pyramid system in the competitive community, we hope you enjoy this pyramid and format and we hope you continue to back us to look after the state of the community!
The tournament will be hosted on Sunday the 14th October at 20:00GMT. There will be a transfer ban for this tournament. The tournament will be played in the standard 5v5 format. Teams will have to fight their way through a groupstage in order to claim victory.

Every team must read the following rules as they are very important and EGS rules are different compared to normal tournaments.
We were kind of disappointed by seeing that even some captains didn't even read the rules. Please, read it all.

Roster Rules - Rosters are capped at 10 people as you are aware. - Players MUST sign up with their community names ONLY. No roleplay names allowed. - Must also use community faces rather than randomized ones OR you face punishment (refer to EGS Rules) - Transfer deadline is set at 5pm (17:00 GMT) the day before every tournament . After that, not a SINGLE change will be allowed. [close]

General Rules - Melee speed will be set on medium. - The only class allowed is the line infantry. - You aren't allowed to spawn if you are not playing. - All matches will be ft5, apart from the  Round 2/Semi Finals and Bronze Match (ft7) and the Final (ft10). - A good behaviour is expected. Insulting/toxicity will lead to 1 warning then a suspension from matches. - Cheating once will result in a permanent ban of any future EGS tournaments. - ID MUST be provided, if not, players with ID's missing won't be allowed to play. It can result in a temporary ban or even more. [close]

Match Rules - Once a match has been called, each team has ~5 minutes to get ready. - If the first round is not started within ~5 minutes, the responsible team will be punished, as 1 round will be awarded to their opponents. - After each round, each team has ~1 minutes before they must have typed 'r' again. - If the next round is not started within ~1 minutes, the responsible team will be punished, as 1 round will be awarded to their opponents. -The rules above are controlled by the referee - if the referee says ~5 or ~1 minutes is up, then the time is up. -If there is clear delaying in a duel at the end of a round after 2 minutes then a warning to the fight will be given. If the player continues to delay or run from the duel then the admin can slay the player. -In any case of a server crash/map change if it is to happen, then all current rounds WILL be VOIDED. -tiebreaks will be; 1- wins vs tied opponents ; 2 - points [close]

Introduction Spoiler Welcome to the 1st edition of EGS Season 3 league 2! In this tournament it will be a 5v5 format. The 5v5 format is probably the best lineup for many teams and this will make this Sunday very competitive as teams fight for their seeding! Will we see another dominant french team win such as goodfellas? Will we see Gordon’s rise to fame? Or will we see another underdog take their place in the final? Much will be decided this Sunday and while the less experienced players will be fighting it, I can assure you it will be as intense as ever. [close]

Prediction Spoiler Coming into this 1st edition of league 2, we can evaluate that Goodfellas are the slight favourites considering they have many players that once played in top teams.The biggest attribute of this team is their experience over the multitude of modules and I feel Maximou will be the player to watch for sure! Without mentioning much, the players such as Maximou, Lulu and Catastrophe have all played in top teams in the past and definitely have what it takes to upset the competition while more supportive players such as Ruler and coco will obviously be supporting the plays, be sure the 5v5 format for this team will be strong and definitely the one to beat In my opinion. A worthy opponent too good fellas would be the likes of Gordon’s, Crappers, Noodle alliance and DwC. Gordon’s with a strong regimental leader such as vegi are sure to cause an upset along with many experienced players such as Dayboul, Epicpizza and retamar but can they prove their experience this Sunday? Next we have Crappers, Lead in spec by the comeback king himself, Melsyo, You can be sure this team will make little mistakes and lightning fast calls, enough to bring such a newgen team with the likes of Plamper, Krembit, Valley, sadman and many more to the top this Sunday. Noodle alliance brings everything a league 1 team could hope to bring to the competition this Sunday, Skill, Experience and dedication, only thing they won’t be bringing is low ping but with players such as Yoshie, Yoloswag, Mikey, Horse and their FRA player Quenouille you can be sure this team will cause massive upset if underestimated at any point. Next we have DwC lead by a rusty but experienced leader, Saxon, They have the players needed to cause an upset this Sunday such as Ambiguous, Tomppa, Zenpel and the Groupfight server warrior himself, Dario. Be sure to watch these teams closely as they make their ways to the finals! I’m expecting the likes of 98e, 45e and SubV, CCCP junior to contend these giants mentioned above, with many underrated players and some experience they have the potential for an upset. Other teams such as bodyas Elements,Amigos, Courer de bois and Nr59 are likely to pass groupstages but could be contested by the likes of RG, PRY, RF and VIIe Corps.   [close]

Players to watch out for Spoiler Some players who play for mid table teams who you should keep a eye on are players such as Quenouille, Maximou, Lulu, Dayboul,Yoshie, Zeus and Plamper they are all capable players who are currently performing well in general and you can expect them to be possible tournament MVP this Sunday.    [close]
