The 84th Royal Highland Emigrants somewhat continued to make its presence known in whatever remains in the North American Napoleonic Wars community in 2022. This short post will be outlining the year of the 84th from it’s absolute beginning to the end of the year of 2022 and how our glorious regiment has done.

The End of the COVID ERA (January-August 2022)

With real life priorities taking over the lives of the leaders of the regiment, the regiment slowly began to die down. The 84th stopped going to casual events and began playing various different games. The 84th attempted to play Flying Squirrel Entertainment’s Battle Cry of Freedom, but only found Commander Conquest as the redeeming quality of the game. On June 3rd, Dan the Chef hosted the 2022 Summer Festival 24 hours charity stream which raised over $1000 for Next Step Service Dogs.

Last Dance?(September 2022-December 2022)

The regiment returns to the NW scene with only one event a week. As time past, the regiment has gained various new members such as: Ben (MAJOR OF THE KRA), crazy (GOAT sapper), Jamd0dger (forced CoC leadership down their throat), Mitchell (better than 45thN), Ralakesh (Arty whore), Vladdleco (French), Hotspot (Holdfast noob), and Optimus (another GOAT sapper but British). With the Grenadier Company no longer needed, Yoloswag has been removed from his Lieutenant duties. On December 30th-31st, the 084 returned with its second ever Winter Festival. Dan the Chef was live for 25 hours and helped raise $1615 for MS Society for a second year in a row. During the Livestream, the 84th was announced as regiment of the year in the NW Awards. The 84th’s year ends with the announcement of a Skirmishers company and the addition of more NCOs.

Final Remarks


In total the community has raised $2685 for charity this past year.

Now to all our members - the BIGGEST thanks goes to you, to all those who we have lost and gained on the way. Without you guys, there would be no 84th. For the amount of times you sacrificed a social life, sleep, or anything just to jump on Teamspeak or Discord to come to an event or even chill out, THANK YOU. We wish we could one by one thank you all individually, but the regiment has seen over 300 players involved with us at one point. The officers and NCOs cannot begin to express the amount of gratitude we have for you individually and for your loyalty and servitude. Thank you all for this great community we have and that YOU have built. 2022 was a great year for the 84th Royal Highland Emigrants, and we will continue to be great in 2023, with us or not.
