The Legio XIV is organizing his second fun event on the great mod Bello Civili, Monday 4th of October at 8.30pm (GMT+2), 7.30pm Uk time.
We already have organised more than 60 events on Napoleonic Wars (French Conquest Event every saturday).

Rules :
-No ramboing
-If your Legio is almost dead and has less than 5 players still alive, join another Legio
-Stay as possible in formation before the melee (No single line, minimum double line, triple, testudo...)
-20% maximum of your Legio is allowed to be archers or slingers (you decide). They have to stay around the testudo of their Legio and not too far.
- No fire arrows

Classes :
Infantry Legio : 10 to 35 players maximum (20% max archers/slingers, rest infantry)
Cavalry Legio : 6 to 12 players maximum (1 cav each side if possible)
No artillery
No sapper

Why would Legio's want too stay in a testudo formation when moving around. I thought it was an anti-archery/seige tactic  :-\

Because the goal of the event is to have fun on the most famous roman formation.  :) Anyway there is no problem if you form your testudo near the ennemy, just don't rush like barbarians ! :D

Agreed this is a dumb ass rule. And most legions haven't had much training in legionary tactics. So moving in tetsudo at all times is just idiotic honestly.

I'm afraid that unless the event time is changed (Am I correct in thinking it is at 7:30 UK time?) then the XIII will not be able to attend. Sorry,half my members are 60th guys and the 60th has an event.

New rule : Fire arrows are not allowed
Updated rule : Testudo formation is not mandatory anymore, but the Legio still have to stay in formation, in double line minimum (No single line, but you can make triple lines or testudo if you want).
