I've looked a bit closer on the problem. In my opinion it looks as if it is an internal caching problem. Just delete personal info for now, stay off your accounts and wait for Valve to clean the mess up.

The sale, the changing accounts... doesn't this seem a bit too suspicious? Maybes Lord Gabe doesn't want to lose shekels in the sale and has "hacked" the website to stop people from buying the games on sale!

Do not attempt to change your password or Email now if those "hackers" are good it would make it even worse. Just delete the important information and log off from all accounts related to steam.
