Personally I think the whole point of skirmishers is the freedom aspect, though I agree there are blurry areas.
I would wholeheartedly agree in an environment where lines are free to do whatever the hell they please, but if we do in fact try with all these restrictions,
it is only fair that we must balance the skirmishers in return.

Oh yes indeedy. Just a reminder chaps that all those regiments that have been accepted into our event must attend a short meeting at 6:45pm in order to receive linebattle information. Any regiment who does not send a representative to the following allocated teamspeak will lose their place in the event.

Teamspeak Meeting - 6:45 PM - 176.9.103.48:1995

Well considering the results we are going to go with double lines and no firing in the charge.

I'll also be reviewing the skirmisher rules to balance things somewhat.

Currently you allow 16 man skirmish and cavalry groups, nerfing infantry makes it not only the worst but the shittiest class to play depending on ratio of special to regular roles.

Use your eyes and you might see that I just said I'd be reviewing the rules in light of the poll results.

I noticed, I just think with a reduction of light infantry it still gives line a hard time whether they go single rank or not.

Well, the peasants have voted for double ranks and I believe we should move the class limits to suit this choice. It might be hard on the line as they, in double ranks, will have to face skirmishers and cavalry, but I think it adds realism and authenticity to the event. It'll encourage teamplay within teams to combat the opposing team making the event more enjoyable for all those participating. Despite this, I believe limiting Skirmishers and Cavalry to a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10 is the way to go.

How does double lines make it easier in any way for cavalry?

I agree, although double ranks mean for shorter lines means less time to blob. I think.
