Historical Discussion / Re: Berlin 1900

People were so happy in Europe at the time, that they moved overseas in mass numbers to get away from it.

I have watched several videos and documentories. I never said everything was better back then.
But I did say that the gender, nationalism and belongingship was better back then.

For me and my kind of people it would have been better.
Most ridiculous statement I have ever seen.

(Note that I'm not trying to control your opinion, I'm solely giving my opinion about yours)

PS: You should do some research about how life was in Sweden in 1900, compared to today, I'm a 100% sure you'll change your mind afterwards.

I do have more knowledge than that video :P i just ask my grandparent who are middleclass.

I know everyday life was harder and I like it that day. Nowadays we are all so lazy and we won't appriciate anything and we take all for granted.
I highly doubt your grandparents lived in 1900. About that last sentence, you can speak for yourself.
Of course they didn't but I'm pretty sure they used to talk to their grandparents like I do  ::)

No, education shouldn't be gender neutral at all, where did I say that? ???

I'm simply against the idea that we today control how children play because it should be as gender neutral as possible.

Let women be women and let men be men. It's only human.

We don't bash your view of history. We discuss about your ignorance and try to educate you, because you don't realise what life was in the 1900's.....
Because you are an expert on the matter?

What you try to do is to control people's opinions. It's ok to think however you like as long as it is the "right" way of thinking.

I just started by saying it was better back in olden days and you started to hate.
You don't seem to realise how hard life was back then. You seem to like it just because there was no immigrants (by immigrants I mean non-whites or non-christians) and that nationalism was at its peek.

And once again a Wismar thread turned into a 'These are my ideas'-podium for him.

Why am I not surprised... What's next? Agovic style 'Sweden won the Napoleonic wars!'-threads?
Nah, I just uploaded a nice video displaying beautiful berlin during 1900.
When you social liberals start to bash my view of history I have no other option than to reply.

This has more to do with politics than with culture.

If you were a white, upper class male, then yes.

If you belonged to the other, say, 95% of the population, then no
Middle class would be enough tbh

I like turning conversations into nonsense when i become frustrated.
Confirmed.

You say education should be as gender neutral as possible but you disagree with what Sven said about roles? Logic has flown from this thread.

Which is what modern countries are doing today. Because dolphins aren't only supposed to be in the zoos entertaining and amusing people. Dolphins should have same rights as humans! They should also be able to start buisnesses and recieve benefits!

Oh guess what, it isn't 50 years ago and most ('Western')men don't oppress women anymore and a male/female is allowed to step out of his/her gender role.
I'm not for oppressing women :P

50 years ago I would be considered as a normal thinking citizen.
