Not really, they are destroyed and Hardcase left the community so I'm taking the name for my friend for the regiment he is starting today.

The name is still reserved by Hardcase though. To take the regiment name you'd have to talk to Hardcase and get the rights for it.

To get the rights to it you have to talk to Hardcase about since he never gave up the rights to the name.
If a regiment fails, the leader still owns the rights to the name.
If you talked to Hardcase, then you have the rights to the name. I doubt you even could talk to hardcase since he changed his steam name and cut off all ties to the NAS community.
You can't just say "I have the rights" and get the rights to the name.

I am pretty sure if the regiment has been dead for a long enough time and he leader has quit the community forever, than the name can still be claimed and opened up.

Well it doesn't work that way though, the leader to a regiment will own the rights to the name whether or not he left the community.

An admin already spoke on the 1st Texas affair, same situation.  You have no rights to this name.  Move along.

3. Arty may have 2 cannons 1 howitzers max
4.  Max for any specialty (Skirms,cav,ect) is 15 Any extras must go line
5. FiC is allowed when charging but when in a line you must remain in formation to shoot and carry the charge.
6. Do not argue with admins.
7. Do not bug abuse if there are any on the maps.
8. Do not insult other players/regiments.
