Lets make one thing clear. The 33rd have no rights to share or use any Rebirth Maps from the once joint Man vs Bots server that belong to Rebirth.

We have granted no permission for their use on BBG



So Kincaid are you guys ok with a map swap for more people to enjoy your creations longer? Should I try to get ahold of Spoons again because I can’t seem to reach him on steam anymore. He let me put like 5-6 maps up 3 years ago and I wanted to keep things going a bit longer. I wanted to know if I could put up Erebor, Great Wall and Stargate maybe.

Let me know I appreciate it.

Ahhh but you forget Wolffe my man, I have no life. Just pm me in a week or so bud and we can sort out the maps; in truth I don't really pay much attention to our public servers, though I do regularly reset them (EU Duel & ManVsBots)... I think the latter is largely unpopulated and at this state of the game I'm sure we can share maps :)
Don't worry mate will be in touch, just all abit mad at the moment and don't have the time. The man the myth the legend did approve sharing the maps though so all good there :) just might take me a while to sort them out for you - bear with x

Make the default starting status for bots "melee charge" not "fire at will"  - would make a big difference to bot games.

So I loaded the patch and tested it on existing server maps - good to see that the prop changes will not necessitate any map rebuilds.

I really miss Man-vs-Bots it has the best map features that i enjoy and use to i played this server ever sense i got game please unban.

"I was Perm Banned for no reason"  OMG? REALLY?  Wow, let me rush off and "deal with" those evil admins, and maybe execute the rogue admins involved.

But..... Wait...…….

As "Wopkins" you've been trolling for awhile and earned yourself several temp bans and numerous warnings from eight different admins over two weeks since you joined the server regularly - mostly for destroying defences or trolling bots and players - primarily sappers whose defences you destroy or doors in fortifications when nobody is looking.

I was on the server at the time and watched this play out - you were warned several times, kicked twice - temp banned by Jeebuz - you came back shouting admin abuse and spamming chat with insults and constant "tell me why" when you full well knew why and other players like Escalioth were telling you to "STFU idiot".

"Undercover" ?  What a moron - your GUID does not change - whatever you choose to call yourself in game - it was perfectly obvious to all the admin (there were six on server at the time) who you were and that you were pretending to be someone else and you were deliberately trolling and chat baiting Jeebuz.

You were warned to desist or be banned - you ignored that and continued. In light of your previous bans, I then perm banned you as I will not have admins who are performing their jobs correctly, falsely accused of admin abuse by petulant entitled trolls who have already been warned and temped several times.

Your story is utter bullshit.

As to supplying your ID - don't bother - we already have it - its what we ban you by - and you wont be getting an unban.

What was happening when you got banned:
I don't quite remember but I either said something offensive or got into a fight with an admin. But I have matured since then and learned my lesson, and I remember having lots of fun on your server and I would like to play on it again. I promise it won't happen again.

Without you giving your GUID you cant be unbanned - that's the number that appears on the chat in server when you join  "XXXXX has joined the server GUID 00000000 " etc

Hi Rebirth!

I request an unban on your server, that is my favourite in M&B Napoleon.
So my name is Hobgoblin (you might know me), but I was under another profile (name: "LeFaggot_LeMerde") which I suppose the admin (Prince Oberyn) found offensive. Kicked me, but I didn't know why (it is possible he said it but no time to react, I didnt have time even to read the cause). So I entered again, and got a ban. It was not intended as an offensive name, but a comic one.
If it was because he found my name disturbing (it is the cause I suppose, because I never done anyting against the rules), then sorry, I will change it back to Hobgoblin.

Are you sure it was a perm ban? Below are the server rules which the admin was enforcing. If it is in fact a perm ban and not a temp ban then an unban will be on way, thanks for the apology.

Server rules:

The server is a politically neutral place where people can enjoy the game without real world prejudices, politics or religion impinging on it - that means no provocation from either end of the political spectrum. Trolling of any type is acted against by our admin. This includes trolling by the pro-left / pro-liberal side as well as by the pro-right / alt-right.

No trolling in game or in chat. No offensive or hateful chat to other players, no hate speech. Admins reserve the right to decide what is and is not trolling or abuse.

When a defender, do not destroy friendly defences, unless you are a sapper rebuilding them.

No offensive names/tags
(Racist – Sexist - Paedophile – Pornographic – Slavery endorsing – Jihadi)
No names with the word “Jew” / “Nigger” / “Gay” / "Fag / Faggot" etc included in them, or variations of them.
Admins decision on what is deemed offensive is final.

No Hitler / Nazi / Stalin / Jihadi / Racist names/tags

No “shit-building” or wasting Build Points

No glitching of defences or bug abuse (kneeling exploit for example)

One recruitment message per regiment per MAP is allowed. Do not pester individuals to join.

Do not troll artillery by making it difficult for artillerymen to aim or shoot in any way.

Do not abuse Admin when Admin are enforcing server rules against those who break them.

Do not block spawn exits.

Player Cavalry must stay out of Bot Spawn areas.

No player who uses the game default tag "New Player" is allowed on the bot team - immediate swap

Obey the rules for Bot Commanders if you join the Bot team (team 2)
When a Bot Com - Do not Rambo the flag without your bots.
When a Bot Com - Do not jump breakable barricades and abandon your bots - break them so they can get through.
When a Bot Com - Don't spawn camp in "protected" areas of player spawn - a protected area is any area where human team spawns that bots cannot get into.
When a Bot Com sapper - do not build defences.

That's pretty impossible to do unless you give us your GUID number, when you were banned and what for, otherwise we cant find you in logs.

I will not try to excuse or explain my behavior. I am sorry and hope I get unbanned. I will no longer be a shitty troll, and just play how it is intended.

i joined the group and starting to read the rules from the server I have read them thoroughly I am sorry for what I did and I would not do it a second time, when I  joined the server i just didnt read the rules good enough so thats why i got banned, i am verry sorry for what i did.

You and Boris123 were banned at the same time for trolling. You were banned after continuing to dispute an admins decision, as you had over the course of several maps when you and he destroyed defences, used the kneeling glitch to sit in bot paths to skew the games and finally to glitch the bots in the last game. Since you don't apologise at all, no unban.

A little update on sandbag problems - having witnessed lots of games now, - bots and players can simply walk over them if they approach from a 45 degree angle and contact the edge that's sloped at end, if this is not perfectly aligned with the next in a sandbag wall. For us this means that sandbag defences against bot hordes are mostly useless unless the attack comes from head on.

managed to code this in last night.(map selection button)   seems to be working fine.  will have to do more tests, and maybe work on the code a bit more.  hopefully all goes well and it can be stuck in the hotfix.  you can use both the arrows like you use to or the other button.

still have other things to work on in the present file,  and maybe a better player list panel when slaying, kicking, etc,.


That's nice. With 100 custom maps clicking through them was getting a bit tedious. A better admin panel list page would also be good too - the options we use the most - swap player, kick player etc have all been moved into "More Admin Tools" which means two clicks now to get to the option you need. Its a bit cumbersome. Any chance of it all on one page - maybe double columned?

Plus, they are too tall, and too extended at the bottom ends compared to the tops. Its completely hit and miss whether a player can jump sandbags now and that breaks a fundamental game priniciple of a prop always behaving the same way as a player expects it to.
The sides were not changed at all. The only thing that was changed is the small gap at the top, and the collision meshes now correspond to what the mesh looks like, which wasn't the case before. So that's exactly the contrary, now the collision mesh corresponds to what you actually see. It's just that you spent so much time playing with the old ones that those glitches seemed "natural" to you.

The sandbags are not taller per se, it's just that they don't glitch in the ground anymore. I understand that the small gap at the top makes it harder to build straight lines of sandbags, although that's not impossible. If that's the main problem it could be removed I guess.

However removing the other modifications would be a big mistake. Indeed, as I said already, I could build a big ramp with only 2 planks and one built sandbag because of the rectangular geometry. And we do not want that.

Weve had earthworks and planks disabled for a long time. With this update we left them on to see if they would still cause problems. Earthworks did very well, no glitching, no problems until we got to a map with a tunnel, and then they were used to glitch the exit from it. Planks are much improved and make very little difference to games other than sappers using them to plan out defences, like a ground blueprint. We will probably disable earthworks and leave planks on.
The kind of tower and ramp building you describe we don't have, simply because we don't allow it.

Cheveaux and spikes I don't see a problem with.

Whatever the cause sandbags are just not right and could do with some adjustment I think. Something like this would be much more user friendly. It would be easy to place and layer and its ends would butt up against each other easily to form walls:

But if you do change could the new version not exceed the dimensions of the current new prop - I don't want to have to adjust 5,000 sand bags again  :  )  Height wise - they should be at the right height for players to jump easily without getting stuck on top of them when in 1 layer.
The problem with earthmounds can be fixed by adding an invisible wall on the ground. Sappers won't be able to dig.

Its a nice idea, but the ground where the tunnel exits isn't regular, its like a dished bowl, so flat surfaced barriers wouldn't work there. I could always rework the exit somewhat.
