The Army of the Republic of Texas is a fictional regiment in which Texas was able to maintain its status as an independent nation. The Republic of Texas initially claimed neutrality during the American Civil War, but ended up declaring war on the Union, after Texan Volunteer forces were attacked while sending aid to Louisiana. Everyone from anywhere is welcome to join this regiment!
