Does anybody here play World of Warships? I just installed and I haven't played a lot so far, just unlocked the second Japanese cruiser, but it's quite fun and I recommend it.

Some nice pictures were posted in Lawbringer's thread so I though this might be a good idea.

I'll start with Paderborn, Westphalia, where lived until last September.

Have a look at this:

http://steamcharts.com/app/48700#All

Even though everybody is always talking about the decreasing player numbers, you can clearly see that the player number is fluctuating but we still have more average players than we had before mid 2014.

That's my question.

What I am referring to is the English internet slang we all know and use. I understand that it's funny but I as a German for example try to speak as perfect German as possible and use as few anglicisms as possible.
I think the French are the leading nation in protecting its language.

And normally I know the Europeans as the self-destructing guys.

so y u do dis?

Off Topic / Which form of government do you prefer?
« on: March 04, 2015, 08:42:06 pm »
There was a poll about the preferred form of rule some time ago with around 50 possible options to choose. Therefore I did not find it very informative.
So I decided to make a new one but this time about the preferred type of government, split into republics and monarchies.
Use this thread to discuss or tell me if I forgot any option.

Note: This poll is not about the form of rule, just about the type of government you think works generally the best. Also the options are based upon the existing forms of government, so no communism, tribal government or anything.

This is how non-American cops disarm a person without putting 20-30 shots into him. They can only master this extremly difficult technique because they lived and learned in a Tibetan monastery on 5000m for 30 years of their life since their early childhood.

I don't know if this is good or bad for Greece and/or other countries.

I mean, they are left-wingers which is bad. But I for example really like their foreign-policy agenda.

Could a Greek enlight me please?

Off Topic / Pre-1900 music
« on: October 11, 2014, 02:50:55 am »

This means for everyone who is not into this topic at all "classical" music. Nonetheless classical music normally only describes the pieces composed by artists who lived ~1730-1820.

That's why I chose this strange sounding title for the thread to involve the Romantic music, the First Viennese school, the early classical era, Baroque music and Renaissance music. Of course also the people from ancient persia made music before 1900 but the main focus should lie on the just mentioned eras.

The purpose of this thread is no discussion or any detailled mathematical analysis of certain pieces of music, I created it to share this kind of music with other people, show what you like and if you want explain why.

I'll start right off with a very small collection of Bach's most popular compositions:

Toccata and Fugue in D minor (BWV 565)
[close]

Suite No. 3 in D major, Air (BWV 1068)
[close]

Prelude and Fugue in C major from the Well-Tempered Clavier (BWV 846)
[close]

Christmas Oratorio (BWV 248)
[close]

Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 in G major (BWV 1048)
[close]

St John Passion (BWV 245)
