We want the classes to work together. Adding a rule like that kinda feels as if you may push both apart leaving both classes in two separate battles and not coming together till either class is potentially wiped out.

If it's just two inf v two cav left at the end and they start wall hugging then you can always dismount.

There would need to be rules around it but I'd say if cavalry player(s) are last alive they can dismount.
