Can blind people love as much as able-sighted people?

Why would they not be able to?

It was brought up in a conversation and there were conflicting opinions. So made the poll to get a wider range of opinions. But the person believed that they wouldn't be able to have as deep of a connection due to the lack of sight.

You make the deep connection on an emotional level, not an attraction level. Going purely off looks is just lust, not love. If anything they have better chance of finding the better person as they won't be swayed by the persons looks and put off certain people they may connect better with emotionally.

If you lose one sense other senses increase in their ‘sensitivity’, with blind people this is usually touch and sound, I assume one would be able to feel someone else, the heartbeat, facial features etc. A lot of the best intimacy I’ve had in my life is in dim lit or dark rooms and I’m pretty sure others would feel the same, I doubt anyone is fucking In movie lighting so the thought of not being able to see someone I’m being intimate with doesn’t seem like it would impede the moment.

However I do believe that someone who could not feel (can’t feel touch) would not be able to love as well as someone who can.

Love is not vast, you cannot touch it, compare it or measure it. Feelings are a very subtle thing that we humanity has not fully understood yet, so this poll is simply absurd and impossible to answer.
