He did clear out a load of people when he left :'( I was a lowly RSM back then so didn't know him all that well, probably a millionaire off the back of his pro-smite winnings by now.

I remember in 2014 the NWL was so stacked with good regiments like the Nr24 and 17e, everyone thought that after the Nr24 beat the 17e it was over they had won the NWL but they still had one more match and that was against us the 33rd.

And we did something that did not happen very often winning 3 rounds in a row against the Nr24 mainly in melee rounds which was a Nr24 trademark.

Granted we did lose 7 rounds later on but still it was not as dominant as everyone expected it to be for the Nr24.  8)

Also same year the 3rdFG infantry cup was hosted a tournament where the 17e and 22nd ruled supreme but again 33rd as an underdog fought very well in that tournament managing to beat the 3rdFG and securing the 3rd spot, needless to say 2014 was a peak year for us in terms of competitive performance.

So many great companions to have fought amongst sad to see so many are gone  :'(

So many have moved on from NW since that time, yeah I remember crawling through the NWL thread to check where we placed and I was pleasantly surprised by the score against the Nr24 :) 2014, 2017 (when all of V75 was in the reg) and 2020 have been good years for us :)

Enjoying the nostalgia in this thread. 33rd really must have their place in the NW history books as a traditional reg that could hold their own against the very best. A regiment that emphasises roleplay and old-school linebattle gaming stepping up and fighting melee stacks really is an achievement. Good reg  ;)

Burnes will lose the flag or that's simply not Burnes.

Hope you guys are doing fine. ♡
Don't worry about what people think, they don't do it very often.
