15th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry Regiment 
~Background~The 15th Wisconsin was founded by Col. Hans Christian Heg at Camp Randall, Wisconsin. The majority of its members were Norwegian immigrants with the rest being mainly Danish, Swedish and Dutch immigrants. The regiment was organized at Madison, Wisconsin, and mustered into federal service January 31, 1862 before being disbanded between December 1, 1864, and February 13, 1865.
The 15th Wisconsin participated in many battles during it's long and prosperous service in the American Civil War.

We speak English mainly. However some of our members can speak German and Norwegian, naturally.
