Having played it now for 16 hours with multiple campaigns and nations. I've got to say that they completely screwed the game's historical accuracy compared to Hoi3. Haven't had a single campaign yet that went historically. Even though I clearly picked that option at the start each and every time.

Although the new production system is awesome and Diplomacy is much more interesting. The rest pretty much sucks, guess Paradox can't create a proper game without having to patch it multiple times.

So I've been a fan of Vicy2, and EUIV is alright, I guess. I also own CKII and HoI 3, which I did not enjoy as much. Is the game, HoI IV, actually worth getting in this case?

I would personally recommend to wait a bit till they patched it up. It doesn't really feel like a real WW2 strategy game at the moment. Rather some modern arcady-risk game.
