Danke für das LB heute!  :) Auch wenn die Pings ein wenig hoch waren, nachdem vorher hunderte von Bots auf dem Server waren.  ;D

Das RLB wird diesen Donnerstag aufgrund zu geringer Beteiligung ausgesetzt

Wir haben uns aber vorgenommen, ab nächsten Donnerstag auch in den Internationalen-Bereich zu gehen, dann dürfte das Problem dauerhaft behoben sein.

Revival of the Reinforcement-Linebattle


After a few months of break the event is now revived. The first post is now also up to date.

This reissue tries to hold up the spirit of the old Reinforcement-LB with modern modding solutions. The Gamemode of the Server will be Team-Deathmatch with some changes to the gameplay-dynamics. Every regiment will dynamicly spawn at their regimental flag and depending on their class they will slowly drain the tickets of their teams until they cannot spawn anymore. This enables a moving battlefield with epic firefights between lines and balanced meleecharges. With the focus beeing set on line-on-line action this event will only feature one light and one cav each team and the rest will be only line.
Every part of the servermod is adjustable by admins on the fly and feedback from regiments is welcomed.
This event will mainly feature custom community maps fitting the gamemode.

Feel free to give feedback to the serversettings, as the mod can be dynamicly changed with a lot of parameters by the admins (there is a detailed list in the first post).
Also in the future we are looking to incorporate admins from regular attending regiments, if they wish to participate in the adminstration.




For the first event we will use 2 of Brown's Maps, while we work on more map diversity.

One configuration got changed to:
Need to retreat on flagloss: No
Explanation: This should help lines with a bit of the confusion we had last event when the flag is lost, but somewhere is someone alive with your unit, maybe an afk member, maybe someone accidently picking your unit. However, when your flag is captured you can now respawn at the spawnpoint, even if some of your guys are still fighting.

One rule got added to Cavalry:
Do not split up, especially not to get a respawn
Explanation: Regiments would split up to get their men respawned at spawn, while the rest would keep moving and even going into fights. Sometimes even moving around with less than allowed men. The reason why the script is not requiring the whole cavalry to retreat, is to not force dismounted cav to suicide, or rambo. If the rule gets broken too much in the future, we will add a configuration to force the whole cav to be at spawn to respawn the rest.
