petschulat, well... that's a collaboration of two names and a story I will tell. Before my family was started (400+ years ago, proof of this, I have stuff from our family from over the years), there was a Bear Hunter, named Thorsten Petter. He was in love with a girl of a shoe/boot maker, Helga Schuler. They hooked up, got married, and made their names into Petschulat.

Petschulat actually means, Bear Hunting Shoemaker.
