Very nice reskin! I have a request... I'd like to see you make the 79th Cameron Higlanders. The following link contains pictures for each company, and their uniforms, including the Officer Staff (Etat-Major)

http://centjours.mont-saint-jean.com/uniformes_uniteBR.php?uniformes=31&nation=1

79th's already in the to do list.

And interesting fact: 79th Highlanders are featured in Sharpe's Sword. Ergo chances are I'll be releasing it together with a South Essex skin as a Sharpe themed pack.

Welcome to The Skin Warehouse. In here you will find a recopilation of all of my currently published skins for Mount and Blade: Napoleonic Wars, as well as some concept art related to the regiments portrayed in my mods. There is also a small section of custom made dividers for clans to use, which aren't necessarily related to skins, but were made by request.

Currently, due to my tight schedules, all requests for skins and concept art are closed. Apologies for the inconvenience.

I would appreciate if regiments could tell me in advance before using the images I create for their threads or signatures. Giving me a little credit for them wouldn't hurt either  ;) . This includes featuring my skins in their forum threads.

LODs are low def models used for long distances. The further the model is from you, it's definition drops. The idea is to lower the polycount of the models to improve the game's performance.

Apologies for my sudden inactivity. I'll be returning to the regiment as soon as possible.

General Discussion / Re: Advice for New Regiment Leaders- Tips

One thing I learnt the hard way:

If you used to be a private, or even a low NCO in another clan, don't bring in the guys from that clan into yours. They wont see you as a leader, but rather, as the same shitty private/cpl who believes himself an officer.

Well here's a problem I just found with the OpenBRF, and I don't know how to solve it.

Two days ago I edited the colours2.dds file, turning the 33rd's colours into the 82nd's. Thing is, when I saved the file and compiled it as DXT 1, the resolution dropped massively, and, in simple words, the flag looked awful.

I decided it would be a good idea to sacrifice a bit of disc space in the name of HD flags (come on. They're the Colours. You can't deny HD to the Colours), so I got back to work with the flags and this time compiled them into a R5G6B5 format (four times the disc space, but great looking texture... Tis barely 2mb anyways). The problem is, even though the game supports them, OpenBRF doesn't, and it may be a problem once I start making custom textures and such. I really, really want to have nice looking HD drums for the 42nd and KGL, but this will get problematic once textures start playing jokes on me.

Any solution?

I say, for the British side, do you plan to add or replace any of the regiments of foot? I would really like to see, for instance, the 28th or 71st.

Community / Re: Collection of Historical Ranks
« on: February 15, 2013, 12:44:25 am »
Just a small detail. I actually found that during the early Napoleonic Wars (not sure when this was abolished, though), there used to be a rank in the British Army called "Captain-Lieutenant". The idea was that, since colonels didn't show up in battle very often, their companies were left without a commanding officer. Therefore, one of the lieutenants was promoted to acting-captain, with the rank being "Captain-Lieutenant".

However, he wasn't paid more money, and kept his uniform as it was. The only difference was his commanding role.

Modifications / Re: Animations
« on: February 15, 2013, 12:32:00 am »
Just a very stupid question that would fit this thread: How much would it actually cost to get a guy in a motion capture suit to make animations for NW?

I mean, we could get very good and realistic looking anims out of that.

Community / Re: New melee system in new patch?
« on: February 05, 2013, 08:07:44 pm »
I'll be honest, I am happy with the current melee system. I was horrible with the MM one, and getting a new one would render me useless for a week.

Now I would really like some patchwork regarding ping. Melee is way too ping-dependent, and there have been many occasions in which my character launches his stab like 3 seconds after I released the left mouse button, or not never launching the stab at all.

Granted, I have an average ping of 300 in euro servers (Thank you shitty Argentinian internet), but still, it is an issue to be taken into consideration.

General Discussion / Re: How to command the bots?
« on: February 02, 2013, 04:58:30 pm »
It IS possible. I've seen people doing it. Just look at the 15th Humans vs Bots server. If you join the bots' team, you get to command them.

General Discussion / How to command the bots?
« on: February 02, 2013, 07:48:43 am »
Now, before you all jump to conclusions, I am not talking about commander mode here.

For the last two weeks I've been spending countless hours trying to figure out how NW bots work... Or rather, wasting countless hours, since I could barely make any progress at all.

I figured that you can actually take command of server-provided bots in certain game modes (siege and conquest, for instance), but I still can't figure out how to set a few parameters.

I'm pretty much trying to lock the bots into only spawning as line infantry, while keeping the commanding enabled in TDM mode. However, it seems to be impossible to do this via the admin panel...

Anyone knows how to deal with this problem?
