I can tell from first hand experience that if you merc too long they'll forcefully conscript you.
I haven't seen the light of day ever since.

Please don't let this spiral out of control. Kubus' decision is clear and although it might be controversial,
he has as much right to claim the name as Lawrence does. I guess we'll just have to see who perseveres and who doesn't.

I do think Kubus should contact Lawrence and settle this in a private matter especially since he had 'first dibs' on the name.
However we can't deny that everything regarding claim rules for BCoF-regiments is quite vague atm, seeing as the game is not fully released yet.

What do you mean dead? As of the time writing this; There's still a weekly schedule filled with both EU and NA events.
And from my observations, the Saturday EU event can still average around 90-120 players per event.

As for the Dixieland Army, it did disband, but that doesn't mean everyone left or just stopped playing.
For instance; the UB, which was a part of the DA, is still around and still actively participates in these events.

I have no bad blood with any of the guys I played with in the DA. I worked with them for years. The 2ndDiv was simply a way to cut the red tape we always had a distaste for. I would have no problem working with any of those folks again, in a system similar, but revamped. I especially would have no issue working with Irish. We worked together well for years until the end, and would have no issue with working with or under him again.
MrMan of course is right. Myself, or the people with the Confederate States Army never had any personal issues with the Dixieland Army. In fact, I am very grateful for the Dixieland Army. Just a difference in opinion. That's just it. Museal, Hawk, and Jannik did a great job with the Dixieland Army over the course of several years.

Thank you for shedding some light on the matter, I was under the impression that there was some bad blood between 2nd Division and some of the EIB regiments.
It was a very complicated debacle all things considered, but I'm happy you don't hold any grudges against the Dixieland Army or it's leaders.
If anything I'm still happy I got to be part of both the DA and the CSA while they were still a thing.

You can attempt to, but I'm pretty sure there will almost always be at least one piece of the uniform which will conflict with another uniform in some way.
I know it's definitely possible with uniforms who share the same trousers but shako's and other helmets are a bit tricky.

Let's say you remove the white coldstream_pants which both the British Guards, British Marines and the Prussian Sappers use.
These three uniforms are now without proper legs, however when you add which ever pants you'd like them to have to the body of the before mentioned units,
they will appear with your desired leg-pieces and this will make it so the trousers are unique to the body.

In short: If you remove the original pants and glue the pants to the matching body, the pants will be unique to the body.

This can also go the other way around but I don't recommend it as it will create monstrosities.
Sorry if you have any trouble understanding it, I don't have enough braincells to come up with a better way of explaining this.
There's probably another way of doing this but it'll probably have something to do with either code or something complicated.

the DA strikes again

2nd Division which included the 8th Virginia, the 5th Georgia and a few others seperated from the Dixieland Army,
happened about 2-3 years ago from now due to some unfortunate disputes regarding command, rules and regiments.
I don't think a reunion would come any time soon. It was pretty much permanent.

It downloads fine for me. Can you tell me what's happening when you try?
I'm currently not on my main computer but when I tried downloading it previously, it would open the tab with the download button,
but as soon as I pressed it, it just... wouldn't download. I could click it as many times as I want, but nothing would happen.
Even if I checked the chrome 'downloads' section, the filename wouldn't appear.

This looks stunningly amazing, I adore the winter uniform and the officer coats.
Absalutely great job. Wow.

The only things I miss from the old version are the shake covers, officer bircones and the reskin for the beige line infantry.
