From all the extensive testing ive done the onl difference in fastest is that certain stunblocks that dont work on medium speed can get through like 70% more on fastest aka why dueling devolped more on NA because we had to deal with stuns more where Eus just blocked them like noobs.Seems like Toronto-Reykjavik is ~130 ping but London is ~90 - so this probably wouldn’t work
Cool idea tho! Ping would probably just suck for everyone so it would be even in that respect
Also, medium speed = medium brains, I thought we’d been over this
We managed to convince NA that medium was better in Native in like 2015 and they switched, keep up with the times! Fastest is just left clicking with no finesse!

To actually answer your question, UK is your best bet as there is direct routing and the eastern europeans can actually play on it.
Not that this is particularly good, but went on speedtest.net and changed the server to one in Reykjavik, I'm getting 63ping, Sweden 55ping and Germany 60ping. Unless I'm on google fibre, there's no chance I'm getting 15ping, then again I might be pleasantly surprised once the server has released.Dang thats a fair point. Well if thats the case that Icelandic servers have bad routing and give people higher ping then thats a rip.
I don't know what crack you are huffing Anthony but people from London still get 60+ ping to Icelandic servers. They have a very good network infrastructure but not that good.Do you have prior experience connecting to NW Icelandic servers xD it could turn out when I host the server it gives everyone 150ping because of routing issues.
Only place this is useful is for playing against US or Canada in NWWC to make it more even. But if you have to face Eastern teams they will get closer to 100 ping at the very least which I can tell you now they will not agree to.

A lot of the Top NA players are either middle or east coast. So it benefits the large part of the community although leaving out CHADS like Glenn who is from CA or Hunteh from Vancover. Nonetheless though A lot of the top Eu players are English or French so we still get to see a gf vs top EU players with great ping and top NA players with good ping. So for a NWWC It would be good for the majority Id say.The NA's don't really remember but when we were having this conversation back in 2012-2014 it was always settled on using fastest because NA server hosts were extremely unreliable so fastest was necessary. Back then all you had were hosts like Bluefang which although they got better was an absolute pain in the ass for the 7NA servers etc.fastest speed breaks game mechanics, native realised this and so did NW years ago, dunno why people still think using fastest is betterMedium speed thoas much as i want to agree, when playing with a large amount of high ping players fastest is better
