« on: March 05, 2015, 06:17:20 pm »
Hello yes its me again! I am looking for someone to start a cavalry regiment with but they must be mature (18+) and from EU. I am looking for someone to be very active and be on when I cant be on. I can proved a server and teamspeak also make a thread. All you have to do is be active, lead, recruit. sadly with my current job there will be 2 days a week I cant be on and it moves every week but I will go into detail about that with you. I have current plans to start a Heavy Cavalry regiment as there isn't many and people under rate them.

A bit of information about me. I am a veteran of the game been around since MM and the glory days of NW when it first came out but sadly down to real life problems I had to disband my regiment but about one month ago I felt it was time to make a come back but sadly I haven't had much luck since my return. I am aged 21 from England (Yorkshire). if anyone is interested and want any more info please message me or add Hardy to steam!

I will leave you with this:

I am the guy with the crazy laugh and the brains behind this epic plan!

Hi NW Community I know a lot of people wont have a clue who I am but its been about 2 years since I left and I feel it is time to make my come back. I am looking for mature regiments to join. I can bring lots of experience to a regiment and Resources, I must make sure the regiment I join is the right one for me since I would like to start my own but sadly don't have any time to do so.

So who am I? I don't expect many of you to remember or know of me but here we go, I was former leader of 6e Young Guards in MM and 13te Garde Grenadier in NW, sadly I had to disband since I was put onto permanent night shift. I did try to make a come back in 2013 which ended with me not feel quite ready with as the community had broken down into trolls and kids taking over. but recently I have tried afew line battles as invite and enjoyed what I see.

What can I bring to a regiment?
I can bring experience in trainings and battle, I have great tactics and Ideas to train players or even bring the ideas to the battlefield. I can make threads although I will be a bit rusty I am sure it wont take long to get used to it again, I fair as a ok player in melee and shooting, also can adjust to other classes but line is what I know best.

What am I looking for?
I am looking for an active regiment with mature players, a place I can help become better and not just be another recruit, I expect to have to prove everything I said and some where I can go through the ranks to reach my goals, to be honest I am NCO and Officer material but can do fine as a ranker and expect to remain a low rank until I can prove myself. I do not want to be in a regiment set into there own ways giving members no chance to rise up the rank ladder and this for me is a waste of my talents and I do no wish to suffer with.

About me?
I am a 21 year old, Male, British, from Yorkshire, work a weird shift patterns. I work 4 days and 12 hour shifts and have 4 days off but with this mean the days shuffle all the time so It means I work weekends and so on which means I will be active but cant make every line battle.

anyway I will leave you with one of my best tatics I ever did and I am the guy with the crazy laugh and the brains behind this plan RIP 13te always in my heart:

if interested in what I had to say PM me or add rdhardy to steam, I can not guarantee I will stay in the community but I am willing to give it a try again.

♚ About us ♚

The Royal Horse Guards are a new cavalry regiment in the NW community and hope to bring a different experience as been heavy cavalry. we are aiming to be a mature and well ordered group, using a different style of play than light cavalry as our main role is to support. As heavy cavalry we hope to make it more of a challenging experience to our members and test for the commanders. If you are interested in trying us out then head down to the enlist section.

♚ History ♚

                                                          Pre-Napoleonic Wars

The regiment spent most of the early Eighteenth Century guarding the monarchs in London. It was the war of Austrian Succession that brought the regiment back in to action. This was particularly the case as King George II actually headed the army himself. At the battle of Dettingen the regiment had mixed fortunes when they were disrupted and forced to retreat by recoiling cavalrymen of the Ligonier Horse who bounced off a French formation. In the ensuing confusion, the Blues were forced to retreat through their own infanty, causing yet more confusion. The regiment managed to reform and helped to subdue the elite French Household cavalry, the Maison du Roy. The Blues also took part in the battle of Fontenoy as part of the Household Cavalry Division.

In the Seven Years War (1756 - 1763), the regiment picked up one of its more unusual customs at the battle of Warburg (1760). The Blues are one of the only regiment that allows saluting by all ranks even when they are not wearing any headdress. The reason for this comes from a charge made during the battle of Warburg, when the Colonel, Marquis of Granby, lost his wig whilst charging in to battle and yet still managing to salute the Commander-in-Chief as the charge rammed home. The battle was an outstanding success for The Blues, and a new tradition was borne by the bald headed Colonel.

On return to Britain, the Blues built the Army's first riding school at Northampton. The regiment remained here until the Cavalry Barracks at Windsor had been completed and was ready for occupation in 1804.

Napoleonic Wars

It wasn't until 1812 that The Blues were called to serve Wellington in his Peninsular campaign. They quickly saw action at the battles of Salamanca and Vittoria amongst many other countless smaller actions. One new colonel to join the regiment was Wellington himself in 1813. At the time Guards men were only obligated to salute their own officers - they did not salute any other regiments' officers. Wellington seems to have been tickled pink when he received his first salutes from his new regiment. He commented "Thank God, I've got a present out of the Guards at last!"

During the battle of Waterloo, Wellington's regiment was brigaded with the Life Guards and the 1st King's Dragoon Guards. They took part, together with the Union brigade, in the massive extended line charge against the French. It was a very effective operation which threw out of the way the French curarriers advancing in support of d'Erlon's left and crashed into the left and rear of the Left-hand French division. Halting the French advance. The Household brigade also had the sense to limit their advances, unlike the Union Brigade, which paid dearly for its overenthusiasm.

hi everyone its come to my attention that there seems to be a lack of admins one EU1, it seem this past month there has been hardly any admins on. without admins the server can be quite annoying to play with constant team kills and people delaying rounds. this is only what I have noticed but I could be wrong.

The Lützowsches Freikorps prides itself on its melee and discipline and tactics on the battlefield . With experienced officer we aim to make sure that all line battles are a fun experience for everyone and aim to make sure that we do enough damage to the enemy. We are new to the community but we do have some veteran members among our ranks that have been around since Mount and Musket. We expect all our members to be mature and to make sure of this we use the Rekrut rank as a trail to see if you can meet are expectations. For more information about joining go to the Enlist section.

The first Freikorps were recruited by Frederick II of Prussia in the 18th century during the Seven Years' War. The Freikorps were regarded as unreliable by regular armies, so they were mainly used as sentries and for minor duties.

During the Napoleonic Wars, Freikorps were formed for the purpose of shaking off French rule in Germany. Those led by Ferdinand von Schill were decimated in the Battle of Stralsund (1809); many were killed in battle or executed at Napoleon's command in the aftermath. Later, Ludwig Adolf Wilhelm von Lützow, a survivor of Schill's Freikorps, formed the Lützow Free Corps, which took part in the German War of Liberation. The anti-Napoleonic Freikorps often operated behind French lines as a kind of commando or guerrilla force. The average size of the corps was 2,900 infantry, 600 cavalry and 120 artillery, varying throughout the war. It fought in many battles, operating first independently in the rear of the French troops, later as a regular unit in the allied armies. After Napoleon's return from Elba, both regiments fought at Ligny and Waterloo during the Hundred Days.

Throughout the 19th century, these anti-Napoleonic Freikorps were greatly praised and glorified by German nationalists, and a heroic myth built up around their exploits. This myth was invoked, in considerably different circumstances, in the aftermath of Germany's defeat in World War I.

Because the Kingdom of Prussia already had problems financing and equipping its regular forces, the volunteers had to equip and supply themselves by their own means, as they were not paid wages. This led to the adoption of black as the colour of the unit's uniforms, because this was the only colour that could be used to dye the civilian clothing; with all other colours the final outcome was influenced by the clothing's original tone, resulting in an unacceptable mix of colours for the corps as a whole.

Red trim was chosen for the rank insignia. With the addition of brass buttons, the unit wore a black-red-gold colour scheme, a combination that became associated with republican ideals.

Confederates / 11th Mississippi Infantry (EU/NA) (Recruiting)
« on: November 26, 2012, 03:58:41 am »

✙ Information ✙

The 11th Mississippi Infantry consist mainly of Veterans from Mount & Musket Battalion as well as Napoleonic Wars. Between us we share several years of experience in Leading, Melee, Shooting and formations. We first made the 11th Mississippi around the start of the mod, deciding to take up the name instead of our original 13th North Carolina after having been invited to the Dixie Army. We used to play North & South parallel to Napoleonic Wars hence didn't play very actively, however we have now returned and are focused solely on N&S, playing two Line battles a week, Fridays and Saturdays.

✙ Regiment History ✙

The Eleventh Mississippi, one of the first regiments formed in Mississippi as part of the Confederate Army, was composed of volunteers from the older and more developed counties in North Mississippi.

The 11th served for the duration of the Civil War and participated in nearly all of the major campaigns in the East. Battles include First Manassas, Seven Pines, Gaines' Mill, Second Manassas, Sharpsburg, Gettysburg, Falling Waters, Bristoe Station, Wilderness, Talley's Mill, Spotsylvania Court House, Hanover Junction, Bethesda Church, Weldon Railroad, Davis' Farm, Hawke's Farm, and Hatcher's Run.

The University Greys were students in the University and therefore were rather widely drawn from the State. Since the personnel was not limited to Lafayette County men, that county claimed the right to contribute another company to the regiment. This company was the Lamar Rifles. At that period of the war to contribute a company to a glamourous regiment such as the Eleventh was considered a privilege.

July 3, 1863 during the Pickett/Pettigrew charge at Gettysburg, the 11th Mississippi had 386 men present in the ten companies and regimental staff. The 11th suffered a total of 336 casualties during this charge (87% of the men fell). The 11th Mississippi Regiment sustained the highest casualty percentage of any regiment at the battle of Gettysburg, North or South.

✙ Company G "Lamar Rifles" ✙

Information
Company G "Lamar Rifles" of the 11th Mississipi, wears the grey coats with eight red chest bars with a button on each end and grey trousers with a red stripe down the legs. They also wear "Hardee" style hats with an infantry bugle on the front. Company G are excellent shots and have accurate weapons and hence serve as our Light Infantry company.

Company History
The unit was formed in Oxford, Mississippi, and practiced military maneuvers and rifle tactics. The company decided to adopt the nickname, "Lamar Rifles" in honor of L.Q.C. Lamar, who was a popular local congressman. They also adopted the motto, "Semper Paratus," or "Always Ready!".

The regiment earned a hard fighting and dependable reputation, but they were also somewhat unruly. For these reasons they were often put in positions of vital military importance. During the Battle of Gettysburg the 11th filled the left flank of Pickett's charge and was one of only a few units to breach the Union lines. The 11th's soldiers were also reputed to have been excellent marksmen, and the men of Company G considered among the finest. Because of this prowess, they were often deployed as skirmishers for the regiment. Company G was the last company of the Confederate army to cross back into Virginia after the Battle of Gettysburg.

In all, the Lamar Rifles participated in 30 battles. Of the men that were in any battle, 20 were never wounded; 30 were wounded more than once; one man was wounded eight times; and one man made it through twenty-five battles without sustaining any wounds.

✙ Company A "University Greys" ✙

Information
Company A "University Greys" of the 11th Missisipi, can be recognized by the grey jackets they wear and serves as our line infantry. They are expected to fare well in Melee rather than shooting, they charge and lead the way to glory for other to follow. The university greys are a disciplined force, holding the line when being charged and recieving shots, the pride of the regiment.

Company History
The "University Greys" were an "all-state" unit composed of students from the University of Mississippi at Oxford. They formed Company A of the 11th Mississippi Infantry Regiment and saw hard fighting in most of its major battles.

Their name "University Greys" derived from the gray color of the men's uniforms and from the fact that almost all of the Greys were students at the University of Mississippi.

The most famous engagement of the University Greys was at Pickett's Charge during the Battle of Gettysburg, when the Confederates made a desperate frontal assault on the Union entrenchments atop Cemetery Ridge. he Greys penetrated further into the Union position than any other unit, but at the terrible cost of sustaining 100% casualties—every soldier was either killed or wounded.
