History
The 1st Regiment Greek Light Infantry (1810–12) was a light infantry regiment, founded as a local establishment in British service consisting mostly of Greek and Albanian enlisted men and Greek and British officers that served during the Napoleonic Wars. Later it became a regular British Army regiment as the 1st Greek Light Infantry ("The Duke of York's") (1812–16). It had no official association with the modern state of Greece or the Filiki Eteria or any Greek War of Independence groups; however, several future leaders of the War of Independence fought in its ranks.

About Us
The 1st GLI was created with the intend of being a relaxed regiment wich does not force it's members to be active.We got a specialty slots on every event we go to mostly being light's or arty.We don't have a single leader. Each of our 2 leaders has the same rank and power to make choices after fruitful debade.Even though most of our members are from EU we also got a big amount of people that are from Asia and the US


Structure
When one joins the regiments he is moved to the englisted corp while he can join at any time after a test the guard wich will allow him to participate on competetive events.
Administration is a assignment consisting of officers  who's job is to do all the paper work the regiment needs to operate at it's finest. Officers of the Enenglisted corp have a task of recruting people and Officers of the Guard have the assignment of Training the members.

Schedule
The 1stGLI Light Infantry Regiment has Plenty of scheduled events threw the week. Even though we have scheduled events every week, we don't force people to come to every single one of them nor force them to be active.
If interstead on calling us on an event don't even try to persuade us to come if we alredy got a event at that date

sorry for that i used it as a place holder till i made somthing original ;)
i also plan to update it a tad more  in the following day's so it will look a little bit more nice also i want it to give bit more info out (but never a roster.. rosters are useless)

Alright fine, here is my personal opinion that doesn't affect my business practices:

1. Edam cheese, because it has that salty taste I like plus it's easier to bite than the others.
2. Blue cheese varieties in a little amount: I wouldn't say I would eat them everyday, but they are pretty good at adding some exotic flavour to food.

Personally, I don't dislike any type of cheese: they are all good in their own way and you can't really mess them up (well there is the maggot-infested casu marzu, but there are people who like it and I can't really judge them).

Unrelated, but some good news: me and the corporate overlords have decided on a compromise. In short, this compromise means that I can use my original CheeseDealer name (due to not being legally bound anymore to a conglomerate), while still having quota for conducting business with them. It's a mutually beneficial agreement.

Mod Thursday (or Transformation Thursday for all you alliteration fans) has arrived and that means something: screenshots! More specifically, screenshots of the Full Osiris Invasion mod, fighting glorious battles against vanilla Native cavalry spam, ourselves (Greeks), some fantasy empire LARPing as Swedes and Poles, and a little piece of power fantasy known as "Warhammer".

I do know that the textures are extremely low quality, but that's because Full Invasion is a very crash-prone and demanding mod (no offense) and the textures get compressed into a 2016 Steam Greenlight indie voxel game at low levels. I will try to get higher quality screenshots next time.

Yesterday we attended a very nice line and cav combo event courtesy of the 2ndKGL. Today, it's time to share those moments.

But first, let me tell you a short story: a tale if you will. (Spoiler, because it's very long)

Once upon a time there was a handsome young general upon this land, called "The Duke".

The Duke's ancestors and parents were simple people: they worked in the mines and wandered the land for many opportunities. Despite this, they were happy.

The Duke wasn't like them: he wanted adventure and to explore the noble world, full of battles, drinks and women. Of course, a gentleman must be talented too. And did the The Duke find something.

He sits downs and begins to play Schubert's "Ave Maria". What a pious Christian man! And he is quite talented too.

And that's when a something happened: The Duke transformed from nicely-dressed general to a shirtless sailor, only leaving him with a small knife and an axe.

The Duke was terribly confused: what happened and why did it happen?

Th're shall beest nay day of judgement f'r thee."

Well, well it's been a long time since there has been reply in this thread. The reason for this is quite simple: picking out and trying to organize all the screenshots is quite a task and I simply got tired of it.

However, a much better method has been found: Videos.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a video is worth millions of words and that is exactly why I will only occasionally (if at all) post screenshots. Of course, I will do some bumps here and then to keep up the views, but it's much less exhausting than the screenshot method.

Behold and tremble, a creature only known in the local tongue as a "skinwalker"! As you can see, the creature itself is a very strange one: this one tried to take the form of a conscripted Zulu warrior, even mimicking their voice. However, a small blunder revealed the true form of this formidable Zulu warrior. i have lost contact for a year with this lad. he was a close friend and did some free fanarts for the reg while he was  part of us but i know he is in the mid of uni atm. if you see him online he does accept commisions though.

I am CheeseDealer, and I'm here to ask you a question. Is a man not entitled to the bump of his regiment's thread?

'No!' says the non-interventionist lurker, 'Let natural selection decide the best.'
