So basically explain why you have the nickname you have right now.
Ill start:
I choose betaknight cause I thought going with Metaknight would be to mainstream, so I choose Betaknight for the Greek letter i learned in chemistry and history.

Well this one I picked completely random. We started doing historical names in the 92nd, and as a high-ranked officer I of course changed my name.
Pretty much everywhere on the interwebz I use the name DaSun. Sune is my RL-name and Da is just super gangsta ;) Nah it pretty much came up randomly.

Before my family was started (400+ years ago, proof of this, I have stuff from our family from over the years), there was a Bear Hunter, named Thorsten Petter. He was in love with a girl of a shoe/boot maker, Helga Schuler. They hooked up, got married, and made their names into Petschulat.
Petschulat actually means, Bear Hunting Shoemaker.

Tried to make a WoW account 4 years ago, and I couldn't figure out a name that was taken.

Other nicknames I use is "Maximilian", And it's one of my favorite names, just because (and have used in WoW characters).

Sweeney is a name I received from an in-game bot in the D-Day Valve/steam-game. I logged on one day with my old name(Which I can't remember anymore) and after five kills the bot suddenly decided to change my name to "Sweeney". I couldn't change it so I ran around in several games in 3 years with "Sweeney". Now, I use it for practically everything.

I took my name from the sharpes series. Captain William Frederickson of the 60th Rifles. (The man with fake teeth, missing an eye, and fake hair.)
I later made the name my own by changing the first name into my Middle name: James Frederickson, and there we go.

Wanted a barbarian sounding name and Gragnok just popped into my head. Use it for everything now. Love the fact people find it so hard to spell. Had a guy join my native clans IRC once to make a request and he mispelt my name 4 times before getting it right :P

After watching several videos of mongooses fighting and killing cobras I developed an interests, then I watched a video of two mongooses fighting off a lion! Yes, I said a lion :P their tenacity, speed, and fury despite their small size captivated and amazed me and I named myself KillerMongoose in Warband and the name stuck, my first game with that name I went on an amazing killstreak and was recruited to the clan HGN "Hyper Gaming Network" which later became BrC "Brethren Crusaders" and that was among my top 3 best warband experiences 1. Being leader of the 7de 2. Being part of HGN/BrC 3. Being in the 13th Rifles, in particular when I was Sandgod's 1st lieutenant
However, as my love for Belgium grew, I had a great vision while running through the snowy forests of Swedish Town in MM, I was reminded vaguely of the Skyrim trailer. I started a nipplestockings wholesale business and I took on that name for advertising purposes. I offered nipplestockings holiday and family packs, pet packs, couples pack, combat packs, insect packs, swimwear packs, masturbation packs, etc. etc. etc.
The business was very successful but I've since had to close shop because of copyright patent issues with my business partner.

(don't translate the schütze(n) with marksmen, here it means "save the King")
Hm, I was playing a Seven Years' War mod for Warband and was searching for an historical accurate name for my multiplayer char... well, okay... didn't have to search it. I just thought: "Seven Years' War? Frederick the Great (Friedrich der Große in german)!"

Go to "Settings" at the main menu, then press Y to create a new profile. Enter ".fortune" (note the period character) as a name. As soon as you enter the last letter of the name, a strange random message will appear. Every time you enter this name, you will get a different message. ".fortune" is a reference to a feature on the Linux/Unix operating system.
Looks like the cheat was somewhat updated. In any case, I typed it wrong the first time and I forgot the period. Me being as lazy as I am, I kept the profile anyway and used the name ever since.
Then there is also Forchune/Forchan for my reputation of being a channer. And Blokkermedewerker was a name I added during the NWEC, we were adding low-pay job descriptions to our name.

The name was suggested by my now second in command to fit in with the medieval style of warband.

My first name was oliver255 (still on the taleworlds forum). My middle name is actually Oliver, so the number was random.
My second name was DOSdestroyer. I was quite a big fan of breaking into computer systems, so DOS (an old OS), destroyer, I think you can piece together where I got the name.
My third name was RivenX. You'll see me in NA servers with that name and the 2ndCS tags on with it.
My fourth name, which is what I have now, is MrRiv. A group of friends and I went around messing with people, changing our names to Mr(shortened name). I ended up liking MrRiv, so it stuck.

Originally had the rather generic name of Xilon. In my old Battlefield clan I used to troll the forum a bit, one of my more prevalent methods was to post random pictures of men and women(mostly men with impressive equipment) with short shorts randomly in conversations. It went so far that one of our members, a 45 year old man from Tennessee that will forever be in my heart started calling me shortshorts on a regular basis. It kind of caught on so I decided to stick with it. I started using Shorty in NW due to my name being a bit too long with tags.

When I was around 11-12 years old I played COD. And even though that game doesn't come close to realism I had some clans were we had fitting ranks and names so I took my real life 2nd name. Also I think Dekkers doesn't get close to any name used in overal so I liked it and I kept it.

When my dad started doing WWII reenacting back in '95 he had to pick a German last name as his persona. So he took a Germanic version of our last name "Landree" derived from "Landry", Landry originating from the Alsace-Lorraine region of France (or Germany, if you swing that way in a nationalistic sense). So I also use it for reenacting and I chose it since I joined a Prussian unit for NW originally.
But I have other aliases. "Nil" from "Mr. Nil" because I couldn't think of a name. Then "Kyyneltya" being a mashup of three words I can't remember and people would just call me "Kyyn" or "Ky" for short. Also way back in the day went by "Deadtomb" after a frustrating 30 minutes of not being able to get a screen name for some game. Also "Mathias2992" because at the time I thought Mathias was the coolest name ever and then 2992 for April 29th, 1992 mah birfdae :DDD Also had "Seither25" for another game, Seither being a weird off shoot of the band, "Seether" and the 25 because it needed numbers in it. :c

Well i started gaming when i was younger 12 or 13, and i was part of this reg for RO1, even though i had a different name (forgot it) my leader used to call me Fireboy because i would always say "laying down covering fire." Right so I was playing CoD4 back in the day with some of my close friends and there was this guy in the game named Private Pepper. Me and my buddies being the curious gents we are asked him "where is Sgt Salt?" Sure enough a minute later a friend of his came in with the name Sgt Salt. So fast forward to when I first got this game, I was some how reminded of this story and chose Salt! :3

When i was an NW ranker nub, I joined my first NW regiment, the 87th Irish Fusiliers and the majority were British. In an attempt to impress them, I made my name Howe after the famous Sir William Howe of the American Revolution. To this day, i want to change my name desperately but people have been calling me it for years and it would only cause chaos amongst my regiments. THANKS 87th for ruining my life with this stupid ass name, jk.
