Last I heard rumour is its all wrapped up and they are already writing season 2. No concrete rease info, speculated late 2016 or early next year.

What we do know:

  • its the most expensive netflix series they have produced (even more than daredevil)
  • It will be a very dark take on the material (as is fitting)
  • First season is 8 episodes
  • 2 episodes per book
  • first season is books 1-4, 2nd will be 5-9
  • filming for season 1 is completed, writing for season 2 is underway
  • Lemony snickett will be the narrator and seen on screen - played by Patrick Warburton

I've been watching Hannibal (the series). It's so oddly fascinating and quite well done. I recommend it if you're into dark-twisted sorta stuff

I wasn't a huge fan of Jessica jones. I felt like it was just her and Luke cage having makeup sex all the time

But everybody compares it to daredevil, and expects it to be just like daredevil, when the producers/directors of Jessica Jones are going for a different theme.
The show itself is pretty good, and David Tennant's parts were phenomenal.
Its just when you compare it to a masterpiece like daredevil it's hard to match up.
