Do you guys know where I can get cheap Springfield 1861 replicas?
This for your new unit with Vince? I would suggest to get enfields instead. But, this website is pretty good: http://www.chiappafirearms.com/armi-sport

My own question, does anyone know if its possible to buy Imperial Boshin War uniforms online? If so where? I tried looking for them but cant find it.

Why would you want Imperial Boshin War uniforms? There are like literally no groups that reenact the war.. Not even in Japan.

Let the man dream.   I'm doing Armia Krajowa, there isn't a AK group in US at all. I also carry a WW2 US Marines impression, i ain't even joining a unit.
Ya, pretty much just to collect. Anyone got an idea where they could be? I looked all over.

better more fun  authentic  cheap

Better - its better in quality since you can do research very easily, not uncommon for unit to research downright to the toothbrush their company use. its easy to find!

More fun-  Its more fun in battle because marching in line and firing volley for hours do get dry fast. Especially farbs who wont take hit. You're going to feel real dumb afterward.  WW2, its really intense, skirmishing, machine gun, tanks pouring in, and non stop flanking. Tons of activity in WW2 than ACW. Most of time you sit in camp clean the musket and prepare dinner or nap.  In Ww2, you go back to your foxholes, keep watch, clean your rifle, enjoy fine german dining, patrolling the area, when it get dark, we do night assault or solo suicide mission where we sneak into allied camp in search of 1st ID HQ.

Authentic - like i said, research are easier to be done

Cheap - a entire soviet kit cost you 500, even mosin.   German - 1k-ish,  US (original items - 500-600) (reproduction 1k-ish)

there we go.

I am way beyond in love with WW2 and my ACW is crumbling but I ain't backing out just yet. I grew balls to get out of the unit i was in. Boy sure is awkward as hell saying "hey man, thanks for  being my "Father" of ACW for past year raising me but imma go join this unit because i want to reenact in full authentic enviroment. Love you, bye"

Awkward as fuck. but I did it and we'll be seeing this July.

Just received a mail that my new Lebel 1886 Rifle is on its way to me.

And nooooow.. I have to pay for the Berthier Rifle that I did not want to buy, but still did anyway. :(
I hope I can sell it for a reasonable price. I do not need it, I bought it accidentally.
