1er Bataillon d'Infanterie Belge

Brief History
The 1er Bataillon d'Infanterie Belge (The Orange Legion) was the 1st of 9 line infantry battalions and 2 light infantry battalions raised in September 1814.All these battalions were composed of a headquarters and six companies, including two flankers, and a deposit. The strength of each battalion was 30 officers and 912 enlisted men. The 1er Bataillon d'Infanterie Belge fought at Waterloo in the Allied Army opposing Napoleon. In the Battle the batalion was commanded by Willem Kuijek in the 2nd Brigade of the 1st Infantry Division Netherlands in the II corps.
