The Siberian Grenadier Regiment is a small-ish regiment, which prides itself on our community spirit and commitment for everyone to enjoy themselves, whilst performing well on the battlefield and upholding the regimental name.
Though only a 30-odd strong group, we enjoy playing all manner of games together, with DOTA 2, Minecraft, Total Wars games and the ARMA series the most popular within the group
We pride ourselves on welcoming new members into our community, making sure everyone feels welcome and has fun.

About the Siberian Grenadiers

The Siberian Grenadier regiment is made of the hardy men of Siberia, whom endure the brutal Siberian winters and come forward to server Imperial Russia in their time of need again the bully of Europe Napoleon.
After the army re-allingment, the Siberian Grenadiers were sent to serve in the 2nd Division, the 3rd Brigade.
Russian grenadier units were easily visible owing to their brass fronted mitre caps, that they wore proudly, distinguishing them as the elite grenadier troops.


Russia in the Napoleonic Wars

Russia paid a seriously heavy toll in the eventual defeat of Napoleon, after being crushed alongside the Austrians at Austerlitz, they then fought the Napoleon's armies throughout what is now Poland (Czarnowo, Golymin, Pultusk, Mohrungen, Eylau and Heilsberg) before eventually Tsar Alexander and Napoleon met in Tilsit where they agreed to halt hostilities.
Russia then turned its attentions towards war with the Swedes over Finland and in the South with the Ottoman Empire. They tasted some succeses and took land in Finland for themselves.
Glory and success what short lived however as Napoleon took the fools errand and launched an invasion of Russia is 1812, though he had the Russian army on the run and defeated them at Borodino, the French had a third of their army either killed or wounded and lost a staggering 480 officers. They however carried on to Moscow, where the Russians set the city on fire, rather than let Napoleon march in. Battered and bruised Napoleon and the remainder of his army turned and headed home, only to be harrased by raids and the deadly Russian winter.
Though they escaped and crossed the river at the battle of Berezina, they lost another 20,000-40,000 men to the Russians.
With the French in their sights, the Russians marched through Europe towards Paris, besieging French forts along the way.
The Russians proudly marched into Paris with haste in order to prevent Napoleon from raising a garrision to fight, thus preventing another bloody encounter.
Soon after Napoleon was exiled once again and the Napoleonic Wars came to an end.



The Siberian Grenadiers in M&B: NW

Though a Grenadier (and hence) a line infantry regiment, we like to change things up so we don't play as the same thing at every event.
We often try our hand at light infantry or skirmishers, though we also play as cavalry and artillery from time-to-time. This lets people try out different things, to break up the "boredom" of always playing as the same unit.
